The sixth annual Southern Worthersee gathering was by far the biggest yet, with 3,800 cars and 8,200 people in attendance. "SoWo" is patterned after the Wörthersee Tour in Reifnitz, Austria, the largest annual gathering of Volkswagen enthusiasts for over twenty years.

This year, the organizers rented out the entire Palace Station Casino for the weekend to take on the large crowd, just minutes from the strip.

See the 2012 Volkswagen Waterwerks on the Green Car Show in North Bend, WA
Waterwerks took place on Sunday, June 24th, 2012. Located 1 mile off I-90 in North Bend, WA on a 230 acres of lush green polo field grass.
With the new location, a grass amphitheater the size of a football field was the main stage, judging area and cater the day's events. Even the food vendors were required to only serve European style cuisine.
On Saturday, there was a BBQ hosted by Auburn VW. The dealer relocated their new car inventory to a lot across the street to make room for show attendees to get together and enjoy food, festivities and camaraderie all while showing off their prized possession.
