Nissan 300ZX Idle Problem and Hesitation
It has really bad hesitation and a lumpy idle. It hesitates from 1,000 to 2,500 RPMs. Then, right after it hits 2,600 it takes off normally. After driving for a while, regardless of speed. When I left off the accelerator, it backfires. Only when de-accelerating. Not in Idle or accelerating. I have replaced all spark plugs, injectors, fuel filter, air to fuel ratio is correct, cleaned the throttle bodies, changed air filter, changed all gaskets, and it has a brand new PTU. There is no check engine light. But I cant figure out why it keeps hesitating. Its been like this for almost 5 months or so. I cant seem to figure it out. All I know is, its incredibly annoying.

Regal: TVS swap with stock TVS pulley. 7psi of Boost. vs full bolt on, 3.55 gears, tuned 1998 Cobra. Regal: same setup as vs the 2011 v6 Vs 330whp low 12 second Vortech supercharged 2002 Mustang GT. Regal: TVS swap + 2.8'' pulley (14psi) and ethanol. 374whp with same mods as vs the blown GT As always the Regal had stock heads and never had an Intercooler! Thanks for all the comments!
