1964 Ford Falcon / $100 At a Time
Shane has owned this 1964 ford falcon Sprint 2 door hardtop since 1997 when he was 15 years old. He bought this car for $500 and made payments "$100 at a time". The car was a shell when he got it and over the years he has turned it into a running, and driving classic car with a Ford 302 V8 and a 5-spd manual transmission out of a Mustang 5.0.

FG XR6 turbo 0-200. Factory standard. Rolling on factory 19" rims, Toyo T1R. Brand new tyres, so grip is fantastic. Usually it would wheelspin to 60, stuffing up the gear change, but this time it was nice and smooth. 0-100: 4.9 seconds 0-200: 16.1 seconds 80-120: 2.5 seconds Eased off a little after 200, was contemplating going to the 240 limiter but the private racetrack had a corner coming up so I canned that idea. Can't wait to start modding it.

XR6 turbo cruises around Willowbank . Came off the Dyno the day before but on the day we were down a heap of power when the vacuum hose came off the blow off valve. Would have eaten the cobra and would have been a good race with the Evo at the end. NEXT TIME!
