2014 GMC Sierra SLT Walk Around
The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is a full-size, light-duty pickup truck offered in regular, extended, and crew cab body styles. It is completely redesigned for 2014, equipped with a choice between three new engines, and offered with several options that are new to the Sierra lineup.
"Our engineers and designers left nothing on the table when developing this latest Sierra pickup," said Tony DiSalle, vice president of GMC Marketing. "These trucks have all the power and capability that's expected in today's market, excellent fuel efficiency, plus a lot of unexpected, purposeful features developed with truck owners in mind."
The 2014 Sierra Crew Cab goes on sale in the spring of 2013, with regular- and extended-cab models following shortly thereafter.
The new 2014 Sierra 1500 is offered with a choice of a 4.3-liter V-6, 5.3-liter V-8, or a 6.2-liter V-8 engine, all equipped with direct fuel injection, variable valve timing, and GM's proprietary Active Fuel Management technology that shuts off half of the engine's cylinders under low-load driving conditions to conserve fuel.
Perhaps in reference to the 2013 Ram 1500's new 3.6-liter V-6 engine, Jordan Lee, powertrain chief engineer for the new Sierra, said: "Rather than adapting a V-6 intended for use in passenger cars, we built a new engine from the ground up based on the unique demands of a truck. Sierra's 4.3-liter V-6 shares its basic design architecture with the latest iterations of the V-8 engines that GMC owners have trusted for generations."
All three of the Sierra's new engines develop more horsepower and more torque than the engines they replace, and are more fuel efficient. Final power, payload and tow ratings will be available when the new Sierra debuts at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2013.
A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard, and includes a new Cruise Grade Braking feature. Electric steering, new DuraLife brake rotors, and a stiffer suspension with aluminum upper and lower front control arms are also included on the 2014 Sierra.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - Super Car
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray won't be on sale until late summer or early fall, but if you're too impatient to wait until then you can buy one this weekend.
The rights to the very first seventh generation 'Vette to off of the assembly line will be sold for charity at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, this Saturday night.
The high bidder for VIN #0001 will get to spec their car out as they please, with the proceeds of the sale going toward the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, which has a renowned automotive design program.
This won't be the first time that the first of a new GM model has been offered at a Barrett-Jackson auction.
NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick snagged the first 2010 Chevy Camaro SS for $350,000 at the 2009 Las Vegas event, and the first convertible version of the car there the following year for $205,000. He also picked up the first 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon edition and #0069 Camaro ZL1 at other events, marking him as the one to beat for the Stingray.

2014 Toyota Tundra Pickup Debuts at the Chicago Auto Show

The big news is that the 2014 Toyota Tundra now comes in 5 different model flavors. There will be five different grades for the 2014 Toyota Tundra, starting with the base SR and moving on up with the SR5, the Limited and two Premium grades in the Platinum and 1794 Edition. Cab styles will include a two-door Regular Cab, four-door Double Cab and four-door CrewMax, all available in either a 4×2 and 4×4. Under the hood there are three available powertrains. The first is the 4.0-liter DOHC V6 which comes standard on Tundra Regular and Double Cab models. It produces 270 horsepower and 278 lb.-ft. peak torque paired with a five-speed automatic transmission with uphill/downhill shift logic.
