Building the Chrysler Proving Grounds
Chrysler's Chelsea Proving Grounds is Located at 3700 South M52 in Chelsea
Michigan, just 60 miles west of Detroit. The 3,800-acre Proving Grounds is
one of the largest, most modern automotive test sites in the world.
Dedicated on June 16, 1954, its roads and facilities have been improved and
expanded continually to keep pace with product offerings and testing
techniques. The Chelsea Proving Grounds contains over 100 lane miles of on
and off road test surfaces. Durability and Reliability testing is
conducted year round in laboratories and on specially designed roads. In
addition to test roads and surfaces, the Chelsea Proving Grounds also
offers impact testing, emissions and fuel economy testing.

The Mopar Nationals was an interesting event. But beside all those awesome

A look inside Chrysler Group's Tipton (Ind.) Transmission Plant. Chrysler
Group purchased the facility in February 2013, and invested $162 million in
it, with plans to employ 850 people by the end of 2015. The plant is a
global hub for our fuel-efficient, nine-speed automatic transmissions.
