First test run with the turbocharger installed. It's a Garrett turbocharger off a 7.3 PowerStroke Ford Van.
Engine is a bone stock '96 EFI 460 Big Block.
turbocharger is remote mounted just under the stacks. 3" Exhaust engine back to the turbo, 3" "up pipe" from the turbo into the stacks. 2" pipe to supply Boost to the front mount Intercooler, from which it goes into 3" for the MAF.
Stainless steel oil lines to and from the turbo. Oil return is done by a 12v gear pump, and is pumped right into the passenger side side valve cover. Oil is supplied by port on filter housing.
Stock EFI system was converted to MAF and sequential injection with a '95 F-150 California 5.0 V8 computer. It will be tuned with a moates quarterhorse. 36 lb/hr injectors were installed as well.
Power is being sent through a stock E4OD automatic with a TransGo Shift-Kit.

Junkyard Turbo Swap! Chevy-Powered 1971 Datsun 240Z Autocross Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 26
What do you get when you cross a rusted 1971 Datsun 240Z with a Chevy 4.3L
V6 and a turbo from a Ford Power Stroke
Diesel? The Rotsun! During Roadkill Episode 25, Freiburger and Finnegan
revived the Rotsun expecting it to dominate in the 9-car autocross showdown
of previous Roadkill project cars. It also needed to beat a 2014 Kia Rio 5,
but failed to do so with the Rotsun shamefully breaking down before
completing a decent lap. So in this episode: revenge. After swapping in the
mismatched turbo and making nearly 400
rear-wheel horsepower, the guys head to
the autocross at the Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona
and mingle with fans on their way to a rematch with that dastardly Kia.
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel.

Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between
Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the
components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the
speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this
video helps some of you curious up and coming mechanics to better
understand methods of forced induction. Please comment maturely, and
1969 Chevelle Twin-Turbo 540 Big-Block V8
This is, without a doubt, one of the most wicked Chevelle's you will ever
come across. This pro touring beast is powered by an all-aluminum 540
Big-block Chevy, with twin 76 mm turbos
and a Nelson Racing billet intake with 16 injectors. It's riding on a
Roadster Shop chassis, with Detroit Speed suspension components, front and
rear. The car was fabricated and assembled by Mike Gamble, of Gamble's
Street Rods. John's Auto Body did all the custom body work and sprayed the
2010 Dodge Viper Graphite paint. Tracy, from the Recovery Room, completed
the full custom interior. The car also has an ISIS wiring system and MiMod
touch screen, which allows control of most vehicle functions. The car is
currently being sold at Gateway Classic Cars in O'Fallon, IL. This truly
is a one-of-a-kind work of automotive art. I hope you find it interesting,
thanks for watching!
