My friend's 79 TA with a single 3 inch Exhaust set up like a 4th gen. In fact he has modified 4th gen LT1 manifolds and Y pipe up front, built a 3" intermediate pipe to the rear axle, drops to 2.5" over the axle and goes into a 2.5" Flowmaster. Engine is a junkyard Vortec 350 with a cam and carburerated intake with a Holley 750 mech secondary carb. Also has a six speed trans. Drive shaft from a 2.8 liter Blazer fit perfect! I won't say anything about the secret Nitrous setup!
Single Turbo Iroc stock TPI 350 finally hits 7's in the 1/8! Firestone radial tires & 13.5 psi
Finally made 7.9 in the 1/8th on the stock engine TPI 5.7 turbo Iroc! I've driven it over 600 miles in the
past week, been to two drag strips and a Dyno session getting 18-22
mpg... and it just hit 145k miles on the clock yesterday! My friend's 79
Nitrous TA got me, but only after he
bolted on the ET streets. His car does run great though, but if I put
Vortec heads and a cam in my car I think he'll have a big problem!
I battled some strange problems with the Megasquirt today though and it is
an extension of other AFR problems I've always had with it. Towards the
end of the day my AFR kept climbing to high 11's low 12's even at 14 psi.
You can see in several of my runs that I let out and ran about 10 mph
slower. I added a ton of fuel and it didn't improve. After the last run I
let the car cool about 30 mins and on the way home we found low 10's AFR at
the same Boost and rpm. I had to
throw away the day's tuning because it was all too rich. Time to consider
a Big Stuff 3 if this keeps happening.
Breakaway Dragway Panama Beach Raceway
1979 Trans Am six speed Vortec 350 with CSU blow through, Vortech V1 first test runs and ride along
My friend Dustin decided to go CSU blowthru for his Vortech V1 in his TA.
Engine is a stock Vortec 350 with a cam and carb intake. Still running
cast manifolds. Car has 3.73 gears. Still working the bugs out and
needs to install the MSD box. Boost
is only 2-3 lbs at this time, not sure if there is belt issue or what. I
tried to convince him to go turbo but he
had this blower already. It definitely goes good for the first day. When
he gets 6-8 lbs out of it this thing will absolutely fly!
Custom 1972 Pontiac Firebird - V8 sound!
Jamboolio records a fully restored 1972 Pontiac Firebird with an 350 cid
5.7L V8 engine and a stunning new paint job.
The monstrous hood scoops and huge air vents added to the all black
exterior makes it a very bad-ass looking muscle car beast! The Exhaust sound is pretty awesome too! Enjoy.

1968 Pontiac Firebird vs 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am - Generation Gap: Firebirds
Cast your vote here:
In this episode of Generation Gap the guys compare Firebirds: old vs. new.
Davin brought a classic 1968 Pontiac Firebird equipped with a 350-CID V-8
boasting 320 hp. Matt, on the other hand, had a bit of a trick up his
sleeve bringing a 2010 Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Trans Am
modified to the nines to look and perform like a modern Firebird. Its 455
CID and 655 hp are some impressive numbers, but how will it be on the road?
