2002 Nissan Maxima SE 6-speed. VQ35DE BONE STOCK. Limited Slip Differential
and loaded with every option.
Filmed on level ground shortly before a snowstorm (and after one the other
day) so the roads are pre-treated to hell with tons of salt. Car has a full
tank of gasoline.
No launch. Rolled into the clutch at around 1,000RPM. Wheelspin was a huge
problem as you can see so full throttle couldn't be applied even in second
gear until it hooked, but I'm still getting around 5.97 seconds 0-60.
I'll try to get a more accurate video when temperatures warm up and the
road isn't as slippery.
This is the last drive before getting rid of that damm open diff

The world's fastest NA 3rd gen Maxima now becomes the the world's first
VQ35DE Swap in a 3rd gen Maxima (89-94) with FULL ECU wiring!
This is the very first time the engine was turned over after a 6 month
engine build up. No rattling or ticking was heard at any point of the
initial startup. Permatex Ultra Slick Engine assembly lube was used and
timing chain tensioners were snug during installation.
A few seconds after the engine fired up, a camshaft break in procedure was
done by holding the engine at 1800rpm for at least 10-15 minutes. The
battery charger was not putting out enough power to run the engine, so it
stalled after the engine ran for about 13 minutes, which is good enough.
The alternator was hooked up later. The engine also is running with open
headers since custom Ypipe will need to be made.

Engine is expected to put down around 260-270whp. This is about a 100hp
increase compared to what the old VE30DE engine put to the ground while it
ran 13.7s ALL MOTOR.
This engine build was specifically done for MAXUS 09, the largest Maxima
enthusiast event in the world. The car will be there all weekend and will
be racing in the ALL MOTOR MAXIMA UNLIMITED class. This year, the event
