134296 / 1970 Cadillac DeVille
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/qghjtdo
Mixing one of the biggest and smoothest V8s GM ever produced with
mirror-like paint and a spacious, comfortable interior, this classy DeVille
puts a new twist on 'Standard of The World'. And if you've always dreamed
of owning a big American cruiser that's high on style and loaded with
comfort, it's just the opportunity you've been waiting for!
Not completely devoid of character, like so many traditional, frame-off
restorations, this road-ready drop-top is an exhilarating combination of
factory-correct blitz and tasteful glam. Appearing both solemn and
official, its Jet Black paint reflects an excellent shine that literally
glows when crouching under the sun. And that modern two-stage covers what
appears to be clean, mostly original sheetmetal which displays no sign of
botched repairs or historic damage.
Cadillac, once the world's leading proprietor of fine, 16-cylinder motor
coaches, knows a thing or two about performance. For example, this
convertible's correct, 472 cubic inch monster block, which is one of the
largest V8s ever produced, turns stout 10 to 1 compression into a smooth
And while GM Powertrain did provide engines that generated more power, this
mill was designed to idle silently, create instantaneous thrust and emit
merely a whisper from its tailpipe. Judging by the appearance of the car's
satin black bay, it's been on a regular maintenance schedule, benefitting
from periodic, full-scale detailing. Many of the motor's original ancillary
items have been replaced by flashier hardware including: a chrome,
single-snorkel air cleaner, chrome valve covers, a polished radiator
overflow and an HEI distributor that's complete with 8mm Hi Temp wires. And
thanks to two Optima gel cell batteries, the car fires so smoothly you may
not even notice it's running.
Behind that big engine, an original turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed spins a traditional
GM 12-bolt that's complete with smooth 2.98 gears. Speaking of smooth, the
car's long and low suspension, which is augmented with Air Ride
Technologies air bags, glides over almost any imperfection with virtually
no drama. And all that proven hardware rolls on slick Centerline Smoothies
which spin 245/40R20 Firestone Firehawks around detailed Cadillac crests.
If you're a fan of big time comfort, you'll be absolutely thrilled by this
DeVille's custom black interior! The '63 Cadillac front and chopped rear
seats are firm, supple and display virtually no signs of aging. In front of
those half power, half manual seats, a modernist, crack-free dash hangs a
contoured instrument panel between a billet mirror, a modern Pioneer CD
player, controls for the car's Air Ride Technologies suspension and
chrome-trimmed foot pedals. In front of the driver, a custom '59 Cadillac
steering wheel spins a chrome horn ring around a tilting column and simple
chrome gear selector. And behind the passengers, a Dynamat-lined trunk
seals a giant subwoofer behind a Pioneer CD changer, two JL Audio amps, a
small bass tube, a fifth Centerline/Firestone combo and a small, South
County Customs jack.
This DeVille is an extremely high-quality cruiser with no question marks
attached. Don't miss your opportunity to own one of the coolest Caddys on
the planet! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com today.
Please rate and leave a comment! This video is already about 4 years old
and shows the car before we got finished with the rebuilding, so there are
still the wrong wheels on it and the motor is not exactly right, but now we
got these things already fixed and we'll be making a new video soon, so
watch out for it!

1964 Cadillac: Big, Black & Blown - /BIG MUSCLE
This is a 1964 Cadillac DeVille drop-top. It's got a blown 468 cubic-inch
big block, 600 plus horsepower, and if you
haven't figured it out by now, it's a friggin' carnival ride on four
wheels. I stumbled upon this amazing machine while walking through a car
show in Alameda, CA and after speaking with owner Ron Dean, I knew it was
something that had to be featured on BIG MUSCLE. Stretching 20-feet in
length and having a personality that simply can't be ignored, this old
DeVille not only kicks sand in the face of other hot-rods, but does so
while maintaining all the comfort and class that vintage Cadillac's are

1958 Cadillac Runs & Drives After 15 Years & Commentary
I'm proud to say I have resurrected this car. It sat in a car port for 15
years but now she "runs like a sewing machine." New Exhaust pipes, carb from another car (63
Pontiac), rebuilt wheel cylinders for the brakes, new brake hoses, front
end stabilizer pins and a few other things. Now she rides like a, well...
Like a Cadillac!.. Next will be cleaning the fuel tank and fixing the fuel
1958 Cadillac Runs After 15 Years!
I bought this Cadillac and it hadn't run in 15 years. It was missing the
carburetor and the previous owner I guess thought that was the problem.
Well, the carb was lost by the mechanic over the years. I borrowed one from
a 1963 Pontiac parts car I have. Turns out the fuel pump was bad but I got
it running in 20 second spurts with a gravity feed. I used a funnel, a hose
and filled it with gasoline. It worked until the gas ran out but it was a
good way to test a few things. At least I spark, compression and oil
pressure and that all the valves were opening and closing.
1957 CADILLAC ELDORADO BROUGHAM -- STAINLESS STEEL ROOF
Here is a rare and exquisite beauty, so unique in many ways. Only 400 of
these were made in '57, -- 304 in '58, and then nevermore. These were hand
built much like the 56 Marks by Continental. These Eldorado Boughams were
for the super wealthy whose price tag of $13,074 didn't even make a dent in
their wallets. This amount of 13 grand could buy you 3 Cadillac Series 62
hardtop coupes! A new but questionable air suspension system was standard
on these Eldos, however they were deemed problematic and most of these
would eventually have a conventional suspension system installed. While
the regular Eldorados had a full restyling with sharply pointed fins, and
Cadillac also produced the Biarritz convertibles, there was virtually no
body parts shared with the Eldorado Brougham. They did share the engine
blocks though, a V8, 365 cid / 300, but the Brougham had 325 horses. This
Eldorado Brougham has so many features to take in, it's hard to know where
to start. But let's just start at the front. There is unique sheet metal
up front with a concave grille, dagmar bumper bullets, and a rear opening
hood to start. Notice the dual vents mounted on the front fender tops.
Then there is the suicide doors for easy entry and exit. A nice design
touch is the chrome spear that covers the door exteriors and end with a
faux vent "hash marks". The interior is laden with chrome, cloth and
leather. The dash is well put together with guages clustered near the
driver. The back seat has an arm rest that also serves as a storage bin.
After you gape at the brushed stainless steel roof, cast your eyes down to
the stainless steel trim at the lower quarter panel that ends at the
squared off fins. The rear bumper also serves as the outlet for Exhaust ports, taillights, and the trunk lid
tucks down slightly. The rear bumper also holds back-up lights. Just an
amazing low mileage rare car, this Eldorado. Thanks for viewing this 1957
Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, the car with the stainless steel roof.
