1972 Mercury montego GT
Our 72 Montego Gt thats awaiting restoration. This car was suppose to be
the 72 cyclone spoiler GT but Mercury changed their minds and made it the
Montego GT. Most came with bench seats and 302 small blocks. This one is
rare with the hounds tooth bucket seat interior which is white with black
carpet, console and rallye dash.It had the rare rim blow steering wheel
which has long since disappeared a long time ago. Also this one has the
rare 351 Cobra Jet Motor option. I cant find any info on the half white
vinyl top. its the only one ive ever seen this way. There is not another
one like this on the Montego Gt registry website. Its quite possible it
might be one of one which would make it the only one with this vinyl top
option. Please dont ask me if you can buy it. Its not for sale now or in the

A nice example! The same underpinnings were used in Torinos, Cougars and
Mustangs of the era. A
nice, luxurious car! Nice paint and interior! This one has the bonus of
1970 Mercury Cyclone GT 351C Cruise
Here it is. I've worked out most of the issues on the car. This was
basically a shake down cruise so no hot rodding. I gave it a little gas in
places, but never more than half way.
This is a 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT
It has a bone stock 351C 2V. the only mod being the Exhaust which is turbo mufflers that dump before the axle.
I hope you enjoy the ride! I know I did!
SORC 2012 1973 Mercury Montego GT
This is something of a tribute video to Chris Bischof's video that got me
really excited about this race way back in 2003.
My average on the northbound leg was 90.004 mph, which was good enough for
second place in the class, but my average of 89.722 on the return leg
resulted in a 9th place finish.
