Best of our crash videos in Large Scale R/C cars, bikes, F1 and trucks over the years
Over the years videoing this R/C scale we have amassed hours of exciting action video. Trawling through this archive I have put together some of the best stuff that is quite varied. At the end I have selected my best five. See if you agree with me.
Most Epic RC mid air collision crash ever captured at SCCMAS
This was a mid air collision and crash between a World Models 80"
Mitsubishi Zero with a Fuji-Imvac 50 cc gas EI engine & a 450 size electric
helicopter on 03/24/2013 at SCCMAS.org recorded by Walter Colby
www.waltercolby.com the Camera was a JVC GY-HM 700U recording 720P 60
frames per second.
A big bunch of RC airplane crashes and a lot of slow motion replays
This is about 5 years worth of RC airplane crashes that I have shot, mostly
at SCCMAS, near Morgan Hill, California.
I threw this together to play on a projector during our Christmas banquet
so there are a lot of repeats. The cub crash was a "big deal" at our club
so it shows up a lot.
There are a lot of repeated scenes in this video please don't be sad,
repeats were desirable when I threw this together for the Christmas
banquet, if somebody missed a crash they could see it again in a few
As for the slow motion please don't be sad that there are a lot of slow
motion replays, I like slow motion & the guys in my club like the slow
motion so they can analyze every aspect of the crash.
If you like this video, that's great, & I'm happy.
If you don't like this video please go away now, without telling me that
you don't like this video for whatever reason. The guys at the Christmas
banquet loved it.

Messerschmitt BF-110 r/c crash
Here is the last flight of KFS's beloved BF-110.
Having just changed the electric engines for 2 x DLE-20 petrols, the plane
spun in after a couple of minutes of flight. Further investigation revealed
a screw had dropped out which secured the left wing-end section to the
aluminium spar. Subsequently, it worked itself loose and rotated. This can
be seen if you view the slow-motion footage taken from the ground, pausing
the film as the plane rotates.
We love this plane, though. If you're going to build a petrol twin in this
class (.91-1.20 each side), those DLE-20s are well worth considering.
Will order a new kit and transfer most of the old stuff into the new,
taking special care next time to do our engineering and pre-flight checks
Russian "Amphibious" Helicopter
Mail attachment 20070214092403
NOTE: This is obviously an unfortunate accident and I have no details on
what nor when this happened.
I'm not trying to say anything about Russia nor Russian pilots. There's
good and bad professionals everywhere in the world, there's technical
issues also anywhere and accidents (due to either) also may happen anywhere
at anytime to anyone, unfortunately.
As with all my videos on this channel, this was just one of those videos
that I got through email.
In 2008 it was still common practice to send videos instead of linking to
To fight this trend, I would usually upload to Youtube the received video
and then pass along just the link to friends instead of re-sending the
video as an attachment, which was stupid and needlessly demanding for the
email servers involved.

a cheap hyper 7 up against finely tuned custom made machines. oh what
top speed for the hyper was 87.7mph that day, but was having esc and tyre
problems all day...
thanks to http://www.youtube.com/user/FLOURESCENTIDIOT for filming and
taking photos of the hyper 7 whilst I was driving.
FG 1:5 RC large scale C6R Corvette with Sony A77 video test
testing my Sony A77 camera with the kit zoom len. Tried doing it with my
cannon and its impossible to focus. This corvette is not a toy and cost
thousands to build and its 34 inches long. Its a full carbon fiber car
that is mixed with upper sportsline arms and the rest is basically an evo
08. This car is light and can handle like hell. It can power slide at
will with full control. I will be doing my evo video soon and that car is
The corvette body is by Frank Killam Racing. Awesome stuff.
