AWESOME!! Truck Burnout '84 Chevy C10 5.3 Swap - MUST SEE - Smokey LS1 LSx SS

Huge Burnout! You've gotta see this. I went tire shopping the other day and decided to finish off and enjoy the old tires that were on the truck. I did a nice big, fat, smokey burnout in front of Chamberlain Tire Shop. 1984 Chevrolet 1/2 Truck 2000 5.3 motor with 160k miles 2002 LS6 Cam Home Ported 862 heads, 2" LS1 Intake Valves, .030 Mill 2002 4L80E Trans with stock converter 3.73 Gears with an Eaton Posi Exhaust: 2012 Camaro Exhaust Manifolds Dual Exhaust 2in/2out (One) Flowmaster 70 Series 2.25" ========================================= Follow me on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/AGearHead4Li... ========================================= Check out my other videos like this on the link below: http://www.youtube.com/user/AGearHead4Life

Muscle Truck vs. Baja Bug! 1974 Chevy C10 Battles Fred's Volkswagen Baja Bug - Roadkill Ep. 28
Remember the drag racing '74 Chevy Muscle Truck from Roadkill Episode 18? It's back, but with a twist: it's gonna become a true dual-sport ride for surf and turf, shedding its drag slicks for Super Swamper Boggers and hitting the sand dunes...hard! And to prove that a lowered, two-wheel-drive pickup can dominate the dunes, Freiburger and Finnegan set up a shootout with Fred Williams from the Dirt Every Day series on the Motor Trend channel. Fred brought out his '69 VW Baja Bug from DED Episode 23 and went head to head with the Muscle Truck on the beach at Pismo, California. The Roadkill/HOT ROD Magazine Muscle Truck is a '74 Chevy C10 shortbed, stepside, with a GM LS6 crate engine (like the all-aluminum V8 found in a C6 ZO6 Corvette). It's stock other than a small crane cam, midlength headers, and a new addition for this episode: MSD's Atomic EFI (the truck used to run a carburetor). The Atomic setup is atop a BBK intake manifold, and uses a stock LS1 throttle body. That legendary Exhaust sound comes from 3-inch pipe with 4-inch Dynomax Bullet race mufflers. The truck's transmission is a JW turbo 400 backed by a Gear Vendors over/underdrive unit. And it really needs overdrive because the Ford 9-inch rear carries 5.13 gears and a spool. The suspension features dropped spindles and Ridetech Strong Arms and air bags up front. In the rear, two leaves were removed from the stock spring packs, they were flipped under the axle, and traction is delivered by Caltrac's bars. Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=motortrend Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RoadkillShow, http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & http://facebook.com/hotrodmag Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/hotrodmagazine Google + - https://plus.google.com/+motortrend/posts Website - http://www.motortrend.com & http://www.hotrod.com

Dyno 5.3 Home Ported Heads '84 Chevy C10 LS6 Cam 4L80E Truck
I finally got the truck on the Dyno (4 Jan 13) for the "After" Dyno. After the home ported heads and a tune on my 5.3 with LS6 cam through a 4L80E. There are a couple variables of course (always are). For one the weather was the complete opposite as it was the first time. A lot cooler. Around 55 instead of the 100+. Another is that this was with the tune adjustment. We dont know how lean it was on the first run before the heads. Either way, the truck put down respectable numbers with a baby LS6 cam and the 80e trans. It had an increase of 47rwhp and 55 ft lb of torque. Bringing it to 329 rwhp and 334 ft lb of torque. Thats very close if not right at 400 hp at the flywheel accounting for the hp loss through the 80e trans. No longer running lean. Cool part is that this is exactly where I guestimated it to be. Now I just need to hold back this itch for a larger cam and focus on my turbo LSx 92 Camaro build. I do think that this truck could greatly benefit from a stall on this 80e though. I just have to remember that the purpose of this build is to be a street work truck to tow my Camaro around and not a race truck. '87 Chevy C10 Front Suspension "How To" Rebuild in 15 mins - Truck R10
You'll see the whole front suspension removed and replaced with new parts. No audio. Just descriptions on the screen and the complete process which took a full day compressed into 15 minutes. I have another video of the control arm bushings being removed at how and without a torch here: http://youtu.be/SOlUrcXE-yc You can find the whole video playlist on this truck here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLN05l39jxcWDLK6e0KJU44YLkTghRhyDC That was 2" drop springs and 2.5" spindles equally a 4.5" front drop. The rear has a flip kit which I think is 5". So this made it a 4.5/5 drop. But I had to take the spindles back off because of wheel clearance issue with the 15x8 rallys hitting the steering knuckle. That sets my current drop at 2/5. I have a set of 15x7 rallys to put on that should fix my clearance issue and allow me to put my spindles back on. 15x7 rallys have 3/4" less back spacing then the 15x8 rallys. This is the LS 5.3 swap into my '87 Chevy truck over a weekend shown in time-lapse. I drove the truck home one Friday and started pulling the engine. Friends showed up and helped me knock it out. By Monday we had the swap completed and just had the bugs to work out over the next week. I'm daily driving it now and learning to tune on it. Once I get it tuned well I will have a Dyno video up. Nitrous Muscle Truck and Mini Bikes! - Roadkill Episode 18
A Vette-powered stepside truck. Nitrous oxide. Honda Trail 70s. Drag racing, and lots and lots of burnouts. Those are the basic plot points on this episode of Roadkill, as Freiburger and Finnegan have big fun with retro trail motorcycles on their way to revitalizing a long-neglected HOT ROD magazine project vehicle and road-tripping it to the eighth-mile drags. The vehicle is the Muscle Truck, a '74 Chevy shortbed stepside beater powered by an all-aluminum Corvette LS6. It also has a turbo 400 transmission, a Gear Vendors under/overdrive, a Ford 9-inch with 5.13 gears, and the most wicked sounding Exhaust ever. The goal is to get thrown out of the dragstrip for going too fast without a rollbar, then race the minibikes instead. How much Nitrous can the Muscle Truck take? How To Control Arm Bushing Removal at Home (without a torch) 1984 Chevrolet Truck C10 DIY
This video is showing one way I remove the control arm bushings from a 1984 Chevrolet truck C10 if you don't have a torch and with basic tools that most will have. After stripping these arms down and buying the new bushings and ball joints, I will recommend to anyone considering doing this - DONT. Just buy the complete control arm with all already installed and painted. The $100 you save (for 4 arms) doing it yourself is not worth all of the labor you'll put into it. Plus they probably still wont look as good. 15 min Video of the complete C10 front end being rebuilt here: http://youtu.be/t0BN1B0-mZs ========================================= Follow me on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/AGearHead4Li... ========================================= Check out my other videos like this on the link below: http://www.youtube.com/user/AGearHead4Life
