1998 Lincoln Mark VIII Saleen Rims

My 1998 Lincloln Mark VIII in Midnight Grey with Black interior some minor upgrades like 2.5" mandrel bent Exhaust from catback, 3rd cat and the resonator were removed and x-pipe was installed instead, Converted to true dual Exhaust like the LSC models, got rid of factory mufflers and swapped them out for stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers but factory tips were still kept. Also put some chrome 18x9" Saleen Speedstar rims of course for the mark VIII lug pattern, brake calipers were painted metallic deep red, factory air suspension was taken out and lowering springs were installed.

1996 Lincoln Mark VIII Seafoam Treatment
I seafoamed my 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII today. I haven't done it in a while and it shows. There was a lot of smoke this time. The white '97 Mark VIII LSC next to it is much cleaner. The last time I seafoamed it, there was very little smoke. According to the descriptions on the can, Seafoam is supposed to break up carbon deposits and clean the induction system, valves, tops of pistons, etc. It is also supposed to get rid of the rotten egg smell associated with clogged catalytic converters. Fortunately, my cats are still in pretty good shape. I don't know if Seafoam really works, but I know my engine runs smoother after a treatment. And it sure is fun to watch! Note: Eventually, I'm going to make a more detailed step-by-step video with someone else holding the camera. This was obviously done very quickly. Next time, I plan to use 3 bottles. One for the crankcase, one for the intake, and one for the gas tank. Now, you've got to remember to change your oil IMMEDIATELY after seafoaming your crankcase. Or else the stuff will destroy your seals and gaskets. Running it through the oil is like high performance Motor Flush. It cleans the crap outta your engine block.

Lincoln Mark VIII Test Drive
I should have tightened the camera to the tripod better as its rattling and very annoying. Somewhere from the camera, editing to youtube the 1080p widescreen was ruined so ill redo asap. This is a 93 lincoln mark 8 with 4.6 dohc, stock Exhaust. I opened up the intake tube and mcguivered a cold air intake. It still has snow tires on so there a little noisy, they are 215 60r16s so first gear only goes to 95kph; with 225's it goes to 102kmh. All of the accelerations are a roll into the full acceleration, i dont want to wear the winters too much. I did the hid conversion as you can see in the first 15 seconds of the movie, they are morimoto mini h1's. I had to make a thermoforming machine to create the clear lenses as the originals were fluted. It has coil over suspension instead of the air ride, no big difference really. Im going to redo the suspension in summer so im not being careful in the backroads. It currently has 215000km on the body but only 50,000km on engine and transmission.
