Custom 1969 VW Beetle with Airkewld Air Ride
Here is the first video I've taken of the 69 Beetle that I'm doing a pan
off customization on. Went with the Airkewld Complete Air Ride Kit with
lots of other stuff on it. I'll post more now that the first one is up.
Brownbags at it again! This is nicks car, he is one of the guys who helps
us out here at brownbags. His car is a 1967 beetle. I helped get him
started but he has done the majority of the work himself. We did a IRS
conversion on his car and then bagged it.

1966 VW Beetle - Body Removal - One Person - Remove Body Chassis Bug - (2x Speed)
FOR SALE (July 2, 2013): SOLD
Here's a short video showing the removal of my VW Beetle body from it's
chassis. This is the first time I've attempted this solo. In the past,
I've done it with the help of friends with each of us on a corner of the
car. All things considered, it went pretty well. =) Hopefully someone
will learn from my mistakes. The sawhorses are very similar to the ones
you'll see in the BugMe videos.

1949-65 Beetle/Ghia Link Pin Air Ride Overview - Airkewld
Kits Contains - 1949-65 Kits - 2x air sleeve shocks, 2x through rods, 2x
upper shock mounts, hardware and fittings.
Recommendations - For all applications, the standard air ride kit will do
what you need. If you want to get as close to the ground as possible, get
the drop spindles. If you are going to use stock wheels, you want to go
with 135sr15 tires up front and a 2" narrowed beam. If you plan on going
with a 5.5" wide wheel similar to an EMPI five spoke, BRM or Sprint star, a
4" narrowed beam would be ideal. Porsche 4.5's in the front, I would go
with a 3" narrowed beam and the air ride. To order a narrowed beam with
your purchase, check them out here. We also recommend doing the install
with the body off, with a 220 amp welder and some one who has experience
Applications - These kits fit the 1949-65 Beetle/Ghia, Replicas and Dune
Why an Air Ride Kit? - Are you tired of the stiff ride? Are you looking to
have an adjustable suspension with a flip of a switch? Are you dragging you
car everywhere you go? Can't get into your driveway? If any of these
questions pertain to a need that you have, then the Air Ride Kit is your
