Couple Spends 8 Years Living the Van Life & Backpacking Around the World
Lauren & Craig are a couple of nomads from the UK who have been living the van life and backpacking on only $20 a day for over 8 years. They've visited over 50 countries so far and don't plan to stop their long term travel streak anytime soon. They typically work for 6 months, and then travel for 1 year using the money they earned. They apply for working holiday visas when visiting Western countries, which is how they manage to work while they travel. They also buy camper vans when they visit countries where the accommodation is expensive, which allows them to spend next to nothing on accommodation while living in a van (they sell the van at the end of the trip to make their money back), and they also save money by eating out less and not going out drinking every night. On average, the couple spends $10 each per day while backpacking and/or when living the van life. During their travel time (when they're not working), they go travelling and backpacking in countries where the cost of living is cheap, like India, Nepal, Southeast Asia, Central and South America. We love this couple's sense of curiosity and adventure, and are excited to follow their blog - Non Stop Travelling - and follow them on Instagram, to live vicariously through them while they explore the world. Living in a Van and Liking It: Hygiene and Sleep!
Sub to B Channel: www.youtube.com/thenutnfancyproject Sub to TNP Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/nutnfancy Cool TNP Gear and other stupid stuff at: www.nutnfancy.bigcartel.com I spend lots of time in this Astro. In fact, I kind of live in it…well a least part time. I was kind of embaraased about my van life actually. Friends of ours remain incredulous at my van life, how I shun hotel comfort in order to save the hotel money. The more I thought about it, the teaching you my system seemed a perfect fit for TNP. Welcome to another innovative video series where I will show you this TNP VAN System of Living. With over one decade of experience, I break the series down in Philosophy of Use (the why), van choices, Modifications, Tools/Weapons, Hygiene/Organization and more. Here, in a beautiful Oregon location, I talk about the challenge, humbleness, incredible economy, freedom, and uniqueness of van living.
