60' Semi Trailer Truck Stuck In Sharp Curve - And Solution! interesting Video
This semi trailer brought bricks to our building site near Byron Bay, NSW Australia.. here we see how he maneuvers in one of our tricky curve and then crosses the creek! (he was empty at that time) Note how he lifts the back trailer with his forklift to align the length of his truck and make it possible!! amazing skill of an amazing driver...
The cargo was bricks to build our house.... he was not supposed to deliver them all at once ... when I saw the loaded truck on our site I asked him how he negotiated the sharp curve, and he said "I just used my forklift to align the trailer... " I was dumbfounded, or gobsmacked as we say here... so after he unloaded I waited at the curve to film how he did it!!
Stuck Truck recovery
The third load proved too much for the old concrete. The driveway just busted due to wet dirt underneath and the dirt I was hauling was wet. Relieved to get out. The truck has triple lockers and can get out of any situation if you use the first few attempts right. This wasn't too bad because the truck could back up after moving the load out of the way and it could've gone back more with more shoveling.
How NOT to hook a semi trailer
This guy "high hooked" a semi trailer. No fun. Not sure if you can concider it his fault as much because someone did leave the air bags dumbed. Just watch for your self and see. He did in fact crunch the cab. This is a western star with a detroit 60 series and sadly... a automated transmission. This one does have a mechanical foot clutch.

oversize load stuck on hill
the truck started to lift the front tires quite high as it was pushed. prior to that, it just sat there spinning on dry pavement. 12-15% grade.

12-19-08 F150 pulls semi truck up snowy off ramp
12/19/2008 Came across this semi truck stuck on the off ramp from the highway. There's a yield sign there and it's up hill. Once you stop it's hard to get going when it's slippery. There were about 10 cars behind him that couldn't get through, backed up to the highway. He said he'd been there for about 20 minutes when I got there. I pulled him out with my 97 F150 4X4 in 4-lo. Video is in real time (minus hooking up the rope) took about 3 minutes to get him going again. Sorry the video is a little shaky in the middle - my girlfriend was walking backwards in the snow trying to keep everything in the shot.
Turning around stuck truck
We were stuck and had to chain up. To make matters worse, the valve stem on the rear tire was leaking air. Listen to the air leaking at the end of the video.
