Powerstroke pulling +11,000lbs trailer in snow
7.3L Powerstroke pulling +11,000lbs trailer in snow
Ford has K&N intake, 6 speed and strait piped!
Riding in spring time (march 19, 2011) snow was worthless around there but
got better the higher we went.
I know nothing about the dodge cause...well i dont care that much about
The dodges snow shuttle weighs around 6 or 7 thousand pounds i believe.
7.3 Powerstroke and Cummins pulling out stuck duramax
6speed 7.3 Powerstroke on MTZs and a 12v on BFG ATs pullin out a Duramax on
BFG ATs. The Dodge and Chevy were both stuck in the mud. The Duramax had
a 16ft dump trailer attached to it and has a dump insert. Groud was very
wet near pond
We hooked the dodge up frist and it would only pull a few feet b4 it would
start spinning. So i hooked up the stroke which was on more solid ground.
Lamborghini in the Snow
2008 Lamborghini Gallardo, EVO tuned, Pirelli snow tires. After ~6" or so
of fresh Colorado snow, figured it was time to see how the Gallardo handles
in horrible driving conditions. Sometimes it's fun to do stupid things in
exotic cars :-)
2 Cummins Pull Powersroke from the front
Mountain, WI 2003 Powerstroke with 6" lift on 35" tires burried to the
frame. pulled out by me and my brother 2002 cummins and 2006 cummins
Here is the video where we get him out
Tires vs. Mattracks
This is a short comparison demonstrating the difference between tires and
tracks. 44" tires with Dana 60's and lockers would not get you through the
snow like the Mattracks. Yes, they are more expensive, and not for
everyone, but if you need to get through snow, mud, sand or any other soft
material they cannot be beat.
F-150 vs Dodge and Chevy Diesel's - "GEtStuK"
Above is an image of me loading my ski in the same spot just before the
Chevy went in, it was slippery I'll tell you what.
F150 pulls out stuck Chevy at New Hogan Lake. Chevy reversed into lake to
load jet ski. Personally I believe he was trying to get attention by
slamming into the lake, then was unable to pull back out of the water.
Dodge was a little worried about breaking something pulling and then I
offered to pull. I was watching as they were using ratchet straps to pull
him out, one after the other they broke. I had plenty of nylon recovery
straps, chains, shackles, etc which they ended up obviously needing so I
gave them those. They were nice guys, and we've all been there before so I
try to never decline help. Hope you all do the same.
The F150 is a 1/2 ton, the other two trucks are 3/4+ ton.
