Pontiac 455 duet
The LeMans (on the left) has a mild, non-rebuilt 455 with ported & polished 6X heads, c. 9:1 compression, Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 800 Street Avenger, Comp XE274 cam, making maybe 300-350 horsepower. The Grand Am (right) has a .030 over 455 with Edelbrock heads (87 cc chambers), 10:1 compression, same Comp cam but with 1:65 roller rockers, slightly better Exhaust (H-pipe), Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Edelbrock 750 carb. About 500 horsepower at the flywheel. The heads make all the difference. The Grand Am has the Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust system, which has the 50-series mufflers. LeMans has a Summit Exhaust system, which was cheap and went on nice & easy.
1967 Pontiac Tempest GTO
Here is a short video I took while the transporter was behind the wheel. I sold this car to a father and son team in Sweden. I built it from the ground up. I also painted it myself with a custom tweaked version of the original color Mariner Turquoise. It turned out very well and was a great driver.
It had a fresh 462 motor and a turbo 400 tranny. The entire engine bay was detailed to perfection and chromed out.
It was pushing a good 450HP with well over 500LBS of Torque. A lot of tire roasting fun to say the least!!
I had a great time on this build and enjoyed it with my wife and son over the spring and summer. It was very safe as everything underneath was new and treated to a power disc brake setup. We went to car shows and took it out for runs to the local ice cream shops. That's what it's all about.
