As far as VL turbo's go the majority choose to stick to an auto transmission so it was good to see Nigel's giving his manaul box some stick at Calder Park. The VL Commodore is powered by a D'Annello Performance Nissan RB25/30 twin cam turbo six combination that makes big power on pump fuel. Nissan RB30 SOHC 3L engine built and tuned by JPC making over 1200hp on Ethanol fuel. The engine still retains a factory block and crank. Improvements come from a custom JPC turbocharger, manifolding, roller rockers and cam gear. Fuel is fed via ID2000cc injectors and an Autronic computer system.
