Audi extends its RS series with the new RS 3 Sportback. The new Audi features a seven speed dual clutch transmission, the so-called S-tronic and Quattro permanent all-wheel drive

• Seven-speed S tronic, quattro drive and 19-inch wheels
Blazing performance, compact size. Audi has added a new model to its
dynamic RS series: the RS 3 Sportback. In the great tradition of the brand,
its engine boasts five cylinders and turbocharging technology. From a displacement of
2.5 liters come 250 kW (340 hp) of power and 450 Nm (331.90 lb-ft) of
torque, with an average fuel consumption of just 9.1 liters of fuel per 100
km (25.85 US mpg). Power is transmitted to the road via a seven-speed
S tronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. 19-inch wheels and fenders
made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) underscore the Audi RS 3
Sportback's position of distinction.
The RS 3 Sportback comes with an array of standard equipment including the
Sport button, rear parking system, climate control, chorus radio system,
and xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights. Audi offers
customers a range of optional features: front bucket seats, roof rails in
matt aluminum look, and styling packages in black or matt aluminum. Five
exterior colors are available, plus an unlimited selection of custom paint
The new top-of-the-line model in the A3 series is already the fourth Audi
model to be built at Audi Hungaria in Győr, where it is rolling off the
assembly line alongside the TT Coupé, the TT Roadster and the A3
Deliveries of the RS 3 Sportback will begin in early 2011. The base price
in Germany will be 49,900 euros.

aftermarket Milltek Non Resonated Catback Exhaust System and tuned by JD Engineering. It
has now 435HP and 612Nm of Torque! In this video you can see this car in

2014 Audi RS7: Top Speed Bahnstorming in Germany! - Ignition Ep. 80
On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago tests the new Audi RS7 through
over 500 miles of German roads, including top-speed blasts on the
unrestricted Autobahn. With 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of
torque from its twin-turbo 4.0-liter
V-8, the RS7 eclipses even the R8's 5.2-liter V-10 in power delivery. We
find out just how monstrous the resulting acceleration is -- as well as the
top speed -- though the green countryside of southern Germany.

The arrival of a new BMW M car is always big news for performance car fans,
and the new M4 is no exception.
Costing almost £60,000, the replacement for the legendary old BMW M3, the
M4 has moved away from the V8 power plant in the old car, and is now
powered by a 425bhp twin-turbocharged
Meanwhile, the similarly prices Audi RS5 is propelled by a 4.0-litre V8,
which produces 430bhp. It's also mated to the Audi quattro four-wheel drive
system. Like the BMW, it also features a dual-clutch gearbox, the Audi S
There's no denying the Audi lacks the fun factor of the BMW - the quattro
four-wheel-drive system prevents the lurid powerslides than you can really
go for in the M4. You can also feel the weight of the engine over the front
axle in the RS5, but it certainly doesn't feel slow at all.
Overall then, the RS5 feels very punchy, and the gearshift is also really
nice - the same can be said for its V8 soundtrack. It's not a track machine
though, and the car from Neckarsulm is more of a very stable and very rapid
Meanwhile, the BMW M4 feels very raw and very serious, especially when all
the settings are put at their sportiest via the M1 switch on the steering
wheel. These also turn the traction control and stability control off.
With no electronic aids, the M4 is always trying to get its tail out.
However, the body control is amazing, but there is a feeling that it's all
a bit artificial. The same can be said for the engine note, which has been
The M4 is a proper M car though, and something BMW can be truly proud of.
It set a lap time of 1m09.9s, compared to the 1m12.2s set by the Audi -
that's 2.3s quicker.
