What a rare and beautiful example! The fact it's a four gear car is wild(er) too. I just love the white strie, the wheelcovers and the whitewalls, a terrific car, we're lucky to see it weekly at the Kanata Cruise.
1968 Dodge Dart GTS 440 V8 Four-Speed at Passing Lane Motors
I thought you might like a look at this super clean 1968 Dodge Dart GTS.
It's powered by a high-performance 440 V8, equipped with an aluminum
intake, 4 BBL carb, and coated headers. All that power is being sent
through a four-speed manual transmission. This really is the nicest Dodge
Dart that I've seen yet. The paint is slick, the interior looks like new,
and it's really jaw dropping under the hood. I hope you find it
interesting, thanks for watching!

Over the years, we've seen some nicely restored Darts. Vanguard Motor Sales
in Plymouth, Michigan is proud to debut one of the most spectacularly
restored Darts we've ever seen! The previous owner purchased the car in
2005 and went through the process of fixing, cleaning and replacing
everything. There are only 500 miles on the car since the rebuild.
Let's start with the exterior. '67-'69 Darts have always had a purposeful
look, and the '67 is the cleanest of all with no side marker lights, a
cleaner front grille and uncluttered taillights. The beautiful Hemi Orange
paint was done in 2005, and looks near perfect today. Both bumpers were
re-chromed in 2006, so you can imagine the way they shine. All of the
window molding was replaced in 2011 and the glass looks brand new. It sure
is pretty but you'd be crazy to tangle with this bad boy on the street!
Lift the hood of this Dart and you'll find a 340 cubic inch 4 barrel out of
a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. An electric ignition gets her fired up and fresh
headers with electric bypass were also included in the rebuild. The 4 speed
transmission, out of the same 1971 Barracuda as the engine, does not
disappoint. It all ends up with a stock Mopar 3:90 gear rear end and 2 ½"
stainless steel Exhaust with electric
outlets, which sound amazing opened or closed.
Inside, the newly upholstered black bucket seats, door panels, trim and
dash looks right at home. This is a cool car to just sit in and look
around. New and re-chromed shiny stuff abounds while a single aftermarket
tachometer sits on the dash. Neat stuff!
Throw the car on a lift and take in the details. There are all new
bushings, suspension shocks, front disc and rear drum brakes. The
undercarriage and trunk are both super solid. Show or shine this is one
heck of a car!
If we had one car in inventory right now that is the perfect combination of
show/cruise and hold for the long-term, this is it. This is one of the
finest restored Darts on the planet, with all of the right stuff. Don't let
this one get away! Call Tom Today! 248-974-9513

If you're in the market for a super clean street bruiser that you can show,
build on and enjoy for years; how about an old school drop-top that
combines an invigorating driving experience with a top-notch restoration
and unmatched exclusivity?
The beneficiary of a high quality frame-off restoration that was conducted
sometime within the last few years, this stunning one of forty-four Dodge
Dart GTS convertible has been fully rebuilt from its frame rails all the
way to its correct white roof. Take a good look at our high definition
pictures and you'll see one slick drop-top that's obviously logged very few
miles since its thorough shakedown was completed. The car's sculpted Mopar
body has been massaged and finessed until its panels were as straight as
anything that sits on a modern showroom floor; and since they knew it would
be getting A LOT of serious scrutiny at shows, the guys in the body shop
went the extra mile to make sure everything lined up correctly. On the
outside of those panels, two-stage urethane accurately reproduces
Chrysler's code T Medium Green Metallic finish; and on the outside of that
urethane, a correct white bumble bee stripe perfectly frames the car's
razor-sharp quarter panels.
If you build a classic drop-top that draws this much attention, you'd
better be able to back up its good looks with some serious firepower!
Accordingly, this buff compacts restorer's dipped into the Mopar parts bin
and served up a date-correct 340 cubic inch V8 that wears a 2780930 casting
number and thumps to the motto: bigger is always better! At the top of that
legendary Chrysler mill, a large 4-barrel carburetor is sandwiched between
a correctly branded organisol air cleaner, a cast iron factory intake and a
pair of traditional, stamped steel valve covers. Behind those valve covers,
a familiar points distributor sends fire through a fresh set of Chrysler
Corporation Electronic Suppression plug wires. And beneath those valve
covers, cast iron heads dump incinerated dinosaurs into a free-flowing true
dual Exhaust system via restored cast
iron Exhaust manifolds. Cooling for
the big engine is provided by a heavy duty 26 inch Chrysler radiator that's
cinched to reproduction Chrysler hoses via correct squeeze clamps.
In 1968, if you were a true car guy, the only transmission you wanted in
your Dart was a factory-issued A833 4-speed; and the 23 spline unit in this
cool drop top can turn even the most mundane errands into a clutch
slammin', gear grindin' good time! Naturally that high performance engine
and transmission combination feeds a fully rebuilt front torsion bar and
rear leaf suspension that's shackled to a correct power steering system and
a rebuilt rear end. Cool and confident stops are provided by a correct
power drum brakes at all four corners. Exhaust flows down the center of the car through
true dual pipes that run to factory replacement mufflers and traditional
stainless tips. And power flows to the pavement through factory steel wheel
spin F70-14 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sports around simulated mag wheel
This Dodge's fender tag says it was originally equipped with a black and
white interior; and accordingly, the car's cockpit was correctly restored
all the way down to its bright white door frames. The front bucket and rear
bench seats are firm to the touch, and feature correct white covers that
show no signs of tear or separation. At the bottom of those seats,
fade-free black carpet is protected by stylish "Dart" branded floor mats;
and between those seats, a factory correct console frames a double-bent
Hurst shifter in bright chrome trim. The car's pristine padded dash hangs
an old school horizontal speedometer beside a correct Dodge Solid State AM
radio. In front of the driver, a restored steering wheel spins stylish
satin spokes around chrome trimmed foot pedals.
Just looking at the quality of this Dart's workmanship, you know its build
probably cost twice our asking price. In the meantime, it's also fast,
comfortable, and stylish, which are all attributes shared by the very best
hobby cars. Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com today for
