Mark Hayes LC Torana Australia's quickest street car 2009
Street Car Superstars was held on the 26th Jan 2009 at WSID, it's mission
to find Australia's quickest street car. A mandatory 45km cruise, D.O.T
tyre and quickest ET of the day will be crowned Australia's quickest street
car. Mark Hayes LC Torana took the crown with a 8.33 ET, he also won his
bracket "street assisted". This car has run as fast as 8.0 on a Drag Radial
and 7.7 on a full slick.

1964 Ford Falcon / $100 At a Time
Shane has owned this 1964 ford falcon Sprint 2 door hardtop since 1997 when
he was 15 years old. He bought this car for $500 and made payments "$100 at
a time". The car was a shell when he got it and over the years he has
turned it into a running, and driving classic car with a Ford 302 V8 and a
5-spd manual transmission out of a Mustang 5.0.
ERAZOR - Nissan RB26/30 turbo Torana
Rob Velkovski's new Holden Torana debut's at the track for the first time.
Powered by a Nissan twin cam RB26/30 combination, power comes from a custom
JPC Garrett turbo and ViPEC EFI. Making
around 370kW to the wheels in full street trim, the LX Hatchback ran into
the 9s on Rob's very first attempt.

The Ford Falcon XR8 is back after a four-year sabbatical. With the Ford
Performance Vehicles brand now discontinued, with the GT along with it, the
XR8 is now the great blue hope against the V8 Commodores.
If XR8s of the past decade have been on the underwhelming side, the latest
version has impressive on-paper credentials. Loaded with the 5.0-litre
supercharged V8 from the FPV GT under its bonnet, there’s 335kW of power
and 570Nm of torque.
The XR8 has also pinched the uprated suspension from the GT RSPEC, which
includes stiffer springs and dampers, thicker anti-roll bar at the rear,
and Brembo brakes up front.
That all bodes well for a great-handling V8 Falcon, though the XR8 already
sounds like a tremendous buy when you consider its $52,490 price tag
undercuts the GT RSPEC by nearly $25,000.
Time to find out, then, if what is the last ever Ford Falcon XR8 is also
Ford xr6 turbo ute phase 2 kit
Just picked up my ute from autotech engineering with phase 2 kit finally
installed. Massive difference from ute being standard. Struggled with
traction in 1st. Changing gears is all over the place as i didnt know what
to expect from the massive power increase. Sorry bout the quality of the
vid and the swearing.
