450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this
extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag
strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST
intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile
time was 7.11 for the night.

I like the lines on this car but the straight six just was not blowin' my
skirt up. I'll take it for a spin next video.
The LS1 is out of a 2001 Corvette that had around 30k miles on it. The swap
was done in 05.

This motor has been built to 1000hp specifications- 2JZ's with less done to
them have hit that mark- I built this drive train to do 1000hp and I want
to hit that goal!
2jzgte 240z: The Beginning
just a short compilation of photos throughout the beginning stages of my
project. Basically from the time I bought it and pulled it out of storage,
pulled the engine, painted and replaced front and rear suspension
components, cut out and replaced the frame rails, installed custom engine
crossmember, then dropped the engine in. Next video should have a running
engine, new wiring and fuse panel, driveshaft, gauges, polished intake and
possibly a single turbo by then.
