Unfortunately I have to part from my beloved Ghia I don't want to, but I have to due to school tuition. it's clean and in excellent condition. The car was refurbished three years ago, never been in an accident. Exterior: new paint, new rubber, new tires. Interior: new headliner, dash pad and dash face, C/D MP3 AM/FM radio, seat covers, carpet, weather stripping. Engine rebuilt last year, dual port 1600, good trans-axle, and good brakes. If anyone out there in the community is interested leave me a post, f you would like to see pictures please let me know.

This is a 1966 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia I recently did the finish body work and paint on. The sheetmetal replacement was performed by Kelly "Metwiz" Brown. Color is Porsche Guards Red. The car is going back to the owner for re-assembly. Music by The Wind-Ups.

1971 Karmann Ghia Convertible Barn Find on 11-11-11
Hey VW fans this VW Karmann Ghia is a beauty I found recently after 24 years stored in a barn - she was taken good care of though the owner would take her out each summer to clean her up. Take a look at the full description and photo and video shoot I took of this classic 1971 Karmann Ghia Convertible here: http://www.sunsetclassics.com/1971-karmann-ghia-convertible/
Give me a call if you want to take her home. Happy V-dubbin

1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Engine Start
First time starting up the 2333 cc engine (91x84mm) that I installed in my wife's freshly restored 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. Yes, I know my coil is installed upside-down. The after-market wire harness was installed with too little slack to reach a downward-pointing coil. This is temporary.
Findlay Ohio 1970 Karmann Ghia Volkswagon for Sale
This car was my Dad's gift to me when I turned 16 in 1993. He piddled with it over the years, adding chrome, working on the interior and working to turn it into a show car. He almost got it there, but passed away in 2008 after 6 months fighting lung cancer. He wanted it to be a show car and that's what I want to see happen to it.
In the video, you can hear the car running, see it driving down the road and hear all the doors open and close. There are also some pans over the different sides of the car and the interior as well. You can also watch a history of the car and see how it's looked through the years.
This car has always been kept in the garage. It's been babied and loved. I'm a female and I've only driven the car on the highway a handful of times. While it handles well, I never really liked to drive it hard. Most of the mileage has been from in town driving and some country road trips.
It's solid underneath. The only rust it ever had that I'm aware of.. was in the engine compartment. My Dad cut the rust out and replaced it with metal. He never used Bondo in any car if he could avoid it.
All doors and hinges are solid.
All it needs are a few small things.. a horn medallion and a rear door panel.. for the paint to be touched up and buffed (or completely repaint. The top is black and virtually spotless. The red part has a few rough spots.)
This is a rare, functional clutchless stick. 1st and 2nd gear with Reverse. Just let up off the gas and shift. Anyone can drive it! Even those terrified of a Manual. Slow gear has never worked, the stick pops right out. But I hear that's common and I've never found the need for Slow gear, therefore we've never had it corrected.
The car has a few cracks in the dash. I also hear that is common. I had considered just taking off the covering and painting it, but never have.
With this car you have an awesome benefit: I can tell you anything you need to know.
Karmann Ghia - Convertible Top Installation - Part 2 - Headliner
A step by step of how I installed the custom tweed headliner from Mike at House of Ghia (made by TMI) in my 1974 VW Karmann Ghia. Thanks to Vince (Ghiaaddict) on thesamba for his step by step tutorial. I would not have even attempted this without his help and guidance. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=389729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Karmann Ghia - Rotisserie Part 2
Car goes onto rotisserie for the first time! HELL YES!!! It gets REALLY heavy at the bottom of the swing, but everything works perfectly. I need to add a stop at the bottom of the swing so it rests on the fixture and not the wheel wells.
