Dodge Charger vs. Tuned 2.2 V-Tec Honda Civic
Funny story. We drove with our Dodge Charger's downtown and we came across
this Honda kid when we took a break and enjoyed some food next to our
He showed us some videos on his cellphone about how fast his Honda was and
gave us a look under his hood. His car was fully stripped and all prepped
So he challenged us, ah wel ok.. you got our attention.. so we drove up the
the traficlights and did a little test.
My buddy in the 1970 (stock) Dodge Charger never raced before but wanted to
manuel shift his colum shifter (like that's going to work).. when shifting
from 1st to second he fucked it up.. so he lost a little there..
i was relax following in my 68 Dodge Charger R/T with a other friend that
holds the camera.
When the race was done the guy was cewl and showed his deep respect for the
old school muscles, we took him for a spin and done some burnouts and
donuts. We infected him with the muscle virus now i gues.. hehe..
this movie is just for fun.. and it shows perfectly what a stock mopar does
against a new high-tech tuner..
Spec Miata Battle at Mission Raceway Park
A great race with six lead changes, bump drafting, lots of oversteer and
tight clean racing. This was a fight till almost the last lap at Mission's
River's Edge Roadcourse in Mission BC. This was also the Sports Car Club of
British Columbia's 60th Anniversary Weekend on April 14th 2011.
Best parts on the video:
6:15(Very sideways entering turn 4)
11:03 (Loosing the back end on turn 1 allowing Mark to get along side)
13:30 (Catching up to back markers and bump drafting on the main straight)
15:20 (The intense battle begins and we start pushing the cars to the
ragged edge till the chequered flag)
After the battle Mark and I both drove our cars home on public streets!

My first run ... ever
Dodge Omni GLH Shift Linkage Installation
I installed the Great Lakes Hot Rods L body Shift Linkage kit in my Omni
There are some differences between the NA GLH and turbo model shift linkages which gave me a really
rough time. Notice where my NA ball socket is on the long piece which goes
to the shifter vs. stock. See also how my piece is angled so much more than
the turbo piece is.
If you barely install the spherical bearing into the rod that will be a
great starting place to allow for proper movement and placement of the
shifter for the NA models. Installing the ball on the opposite side like
stock may help, but I was following the directions, and the height wouldn't
have been all that different anyway.
At 2:31 you can see the arm which goes to the shifter and compare it to a
turbo one in the instructions you're
