EXTERIOR
This sleek Honda CRX is finished in the Polar White, one of three choices when new. A deep, quality shine which looks stunning really gives the car tremendous presence. All the protective trim is in exceptional condition with no scuffs on the vulnerable corners. The rear wheel arches are rust free but evidence of a smart repair can be seen. The windows still have the correct Honda stickers along with the inner door shuts. The passenger door has some minor car park dings and the fully operational sunroof very minor undulations. Overall a beautiful, unmolested 80's coupe ready to be enjoyed.
INTERIOR
A true sports machine interior with comprehensive instrumentation, excellent all round visibility and a commanding driving position. The sports seats offer a perfect balance of comfort and secure holding. No wear to the bolsters and all the internal trim is damage free and factory original other than the expensive period Momo steering wheel. Protective, quality velour Honda CRX carpet mats remain in all four foot wells and really complement a performance environment.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Quiet, powerful and brilliant Honda engineering can be experienced with this low mileage example which is now incredibly rare to find unmodified and factory original. With 16 valve technology, DOHC design, light aluminium cylinder block this engine really was advanced in its day and still offers exciting fun for the keen driver. The 5 speed transmission is light, precise and a true joy to use.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
5J X 14 sports alloy wheels all shod in matching Bridgestone Potenza 185/60VR14 tyres which have decent tread. The servo-assisted ventilated front discs offer amazing feel and bring the car to a stop safely and quickly. Three of the alloy wheels are showing minor signs of ageing commensurate with the age of the vehicle.
HISTORY FILE
Having covered an exceptionally low mileage of just 43,391 and having had two former keepers this car was registered on the 2nd May 1989 to a Mrs S Casali by White Hart Honda Garage in Barnes. Ownership then passed to a Mr Hosking in 1994 who was Honda's Press Workshop Supervisor, before a Mrs Prouse took ownership 15 years ago in late 1997.
A complete set of handbooks exist all contained within the grey Honda plastic file including a stamped vehicle service book, owner's manual, authorised dealer list, network location map 1989 and owners card. Both sets of keys exist along with two immobiliser tags.
The vehicle has 12 Months MOT and is HPi clear.
Any inspection warmly welcomed and encouraged to appreciate what a rare opportunity this car will offer to its new owner. A true 80's icon.
