Jeremy Clarkson and James May will present their opinions on The Worst Car
in the History of the World in a brand new, all exclusive Top Gear DVD.
Jeremy and James travel to the North of England to name and shame the most
rubbish cars in the entire WORLD. It's a labour-intensive affair, filled
with heated debates, giant cranes, James being locked in his own car boot
and...Jeremy being tied to a tree.
But don't be fooled, it's not all about terrible cars -- to appreciate the
stinkers you have to revel in some good ones too -- like the 4.5 litre
Ferrari 458 Spider, Toyota's GT86 and the £340,000 Lexus LFA running
shoulders with a Mercedes SLS AMG.
As they are up North, the boys invite The Stig's Yorkshire cousin to be a
guest driver. Putting his whippet to one side he throws the BMW M5 round a
gymkhana course before testing out a couple of Transatlantic challengers
with Jeremy and James. Things, you won't be surprised to hear, don't go
according to plan.
The debate about The Worst Car in the History of the World continues while
the boys play a few rounds of golf. But that doesn't go according to plan
either. They even put their own cars -- past and present --into the
reckoning. That ends badly too.
The rest of the time up North is spent arguing over the great and the awful
from Peugeot, Ford, Mahindra, FSO, Alfa Romeo, Rolls Royce, Porsche,
Citroen, Saab and many more.

Zero to 60 Run--4.6 Cadillac Northstar V8 vs. 4.9 OHV V8
Zero to 60 comparison between my new 2001 Cadillac Seville SLS with a 4.6
Northstar V8 and the 1991 Cadillac Sedan de Ville with a 4.9 that I've
owned since 2005. The Northstar in the Seville is faster, especially at the top end, but the
good old 4.9 in the DeVille holds its own--especially for an 18-year-old
car with 257,000 miles on it.
Judging from the time codes in the video, the Seville did it in 7 second
flat; the DeVille is just over 9 seconds.
Interestingly, both cars shift from 1st to 2nd at 45 MPH, and both hold 2nd
gear all the way up to ~80 MPH. Without a tach in the DeVille, I have no
idea how high it was revving, but it probably went close to redline.
The noise you hear besides the engine revving in the Seville is raindrops
on the windshield. I had the camera on a tripod held down between my legs
in the Seville; in the DeVille, it's just handheld, so it's shakier.

For 1992, Cadillac delivered a new, European-flavored Seville with positive
reviews as well as customers. The Seville Touring Sedan was Motor Trend
magazine's Car of the Year for 1992. It also made Car and Driver magazine's
Ten Best list that year.
The 1993 limited edition of the Northstar System, including the Northstar
quad-cam 32-valve aluminum V8 and a new unequal-length control arm rear
suspension to the STS helped the Seville increase sales.
The rear suspension previously featured a single transverse leaf spring
like the Chevrolet Corvette. The wheelbase was back up to 111 in (2,800 mm)
with a 203.9 in (5,180 mm) overall length.
Cadillac made few styling changes during this generation, but switched the
grille from chrome to body color for the 1995 model year.
The Seville was divided into two sub-models:
The Seville Luxury Sedan (SLS) started with the 4.9 L HT-4900 V8 but got a
270 hp (200 kW) LD8 Northstar V8 for 1994
The Seville Touring Sedan (STS) also started with the 4.9 L HT-4900 in
1992 but was upgraded to the 295 hp (220 kW) L37 Northstar in 1993
Pricing on both cars was over US$40,000.
The IIHS rated the 1992-1997 Seville "Poor" in the frontal offset crash
In 1997, the Cadillac Catera took over from the Seville as Cadillac's
