Yamaha-1983 XJ900 Seca Carb fuel T
The fuel tank on my 1983 Yamaha XJ900 developed rust in fuel tank. The
first time I treated and seal tank with local radiator shop....rust came
back. Second time I sent tank to Fuel Tank Services in Florida. Then the

1983 Yamaha XJ900's are a one year only motorcycle for the USA. They are
hard to find, especially in good condition. As my UK friends would
say...most have be knackered. This bike became available to me through our
website www.prototype900turbo.com and I
picked it up for a good price.
2013 Yamaha XJ6 Top Speed & Review
2013 Yamaha XJ6 Diversion Top Speed & Review
According to Yamaha the motor is tuned for "useability".
That means instead of fitting all the expensive performance gear
the motor gets the basics and is tuned for midrange comutting bike.
The inline 4 engine producing merely 78hp which I'm a bit disappointed
compare to its
close older relative Fazer 600 which produce up to 100hp but looking on the
price tag of
40kRM I'm marking this bike as the best for what you pay.
It is quite a heavy bike.,. at 210kg so it won't flick
into turns quite as fast as you might expect of a 600
However shorter riders will appreciate the seat, which is narrow at the
front as well
as being low.
Verdict: XJ6 best for comfort cruising and easy riding. Not meant for speed
& power freak!
