Engine rebuild part 1
We are rebuilding a GM 350 5.7 engine. Now in this particular case we are also going to upgrade the engine to a 383 6.0 This is called building a "stroker" motor. In other words we are increasing the "stroke" of the engine which increased the torq & horsepower.
If you are able & wanting to rebuild an engine, this video should give you a good overview of what to do. If you are having someone else build an engine for you, you will be able to see what's involved in the process

Kevin's 1977 Chevy Silverado Big Block 454 w/ TH400 trans
This is the truck I've been working on for about three years. The frame and axles are from a 1985 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 350 engine and a TH400 transmission. My grandpa purchased a 1977 Chevy Silverado Camper Special brand new back in 1977. That truck had a 454 big block engine and a TH400 transmission in it. My goal is to make the '85 GMC look like a 4x4 version of my grandpa's truck -- with a plethora other modifications/ customizations. I have pictures of the project posted on webshots: http://community.webshots.com/user/keevo429
I recently posted this same video on a different website that doesn't destroy the quality of the file. Check it out here: http://www.vimeo.com/1770778
This video was taken 8/20/08, two days before I left for Clarkson University.

This is a short walk around of my project 1977 Chevy C10 SWB pickup. It is equipped with a very strong running 454 engine. It needs the Exhaust installed as it is currently only has open headers and the collectors are spinning when its running (you can hear it in the video) .

Installing The Pistons
Installing the pistons in my 5.4l for my F150. I used a Sealed Power ring and piston set from Napa. I wanted to go with forged, but my engine guy told me that in a street/strip block, forged pistons will actually deteriorate the block faster and are much noisier.
