Chevy Big Block Engine Starting
We just finished our new Chevy Big-Block engine, wich will soon find a home
in our 1980 Camaro. It
is just one of many BBC's that I have built. It is a "street friendly" 10:1
all forged, mechanical roller with too many goodies to list . It sounds
crazy and I can't wait to feel the tire shreading performance.
Engine Rebuild class (the engine WORKS!!)
Our nasty Chevy 350 runs.
Motor: Chevy 350, 4 bolt main, .30 over,
Left head: 350 head, Right head: Chevy 305.
History: Came from a local junk yard, all bearing were fried, rings shot.
Oil vally was painted a pretty gold (old racer trick to make the oil flow
better : Didn't work)
Last owner just frankenstein it together.
Goal: needed to fire-up and runs for a few secs.

Kevin's 1977 Chevy Silverado Big Block 454 w/ TH400 trans
This is the truck I've been working on for about three years. The frame and
axles are from a 1985 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 350 engine and a TH400
transmission. My grandpa purchased a 1977 Chevy Silverado Camper Special
brand new back in 1977. That truck had a 454 big block engine and a TH400
transmission in it. My goal is to make the '85 GMC look like a 4x4 version
of my grandpa's truck -- with a plethora other modifications/
customizations. I have pictures of the project posted on webshots:
I recently posted this same video on a different website that doesn't
destroy the quality of the file. Check it out here:

Removing my Chevy 350 motor and tranny from my '72 El Camino
Yanking out my 350/th350 from my '72 El Camino. Everything was prepped
before hand - radiator pulled out, headers/spark plugs removed, power
steering unbolted and bungeed, ignition taken out, motor mount bolts
removed, driveshaft taken out, crossmember removed, tranny jacked and
prepped. This is the end product of the heart transplant. A 454/th400 will
be soon be installed and roaring.
Engine rebuild part 1
This series is available on DVD Here is the link
We are rebuilding a GM 350 5.7 engine. Now in this particular case we
are also going to upgrade the engine to a 383 6.0 This is called
building a "stroker" motor. In other words we are increasing the "stroke"
of the engine which increased the torq & horsepower.
If you are able & wanting to rebuild an engine, this video should give you
a good overview of what to do. If you are having someone else build an
engine for you, you will be able to see what's involved in the process
