Engine lost a front driveline part causing driveline failure resulting in
load to no load on the engine sending the engine into orbit. As I remember
there was Rod caps laying on the ground after this truck pulled.
Banks Top Diesel Dragster: NHRDA Nationals
On March 6th, 2010 the Banks crew tested out the rail's new "Stroker" 427
cu. in., twin-turbo 7.0L Duramax engine
at the NHRDA Nationals in Wittmann, Arizona. The numbers for this trip out
were 7.670 @173.54. We were a little faster back in April 2009 when we ran 7.17 @
181.08. We've also run a best trap speed of 190MPH with the car on a
separate test session. All those runs were with our twin-turbo'd Duramax, and now we're getting set to hit
the track with a supercharged configuration. Stay tuned for that! More info

Crew cab duallie Duramax vs. crew cab Cummins. both mid 12 seconds
trucks.... very close at the end... Duramax was about a half truck length
First Fire: Banks Supercharged Duramax 871S
Last time we ran our Banks Sidewinder Top Diesel Dragster it was twin-turbo'd (you can check that out here
http://youtu.be/dKc7d73yOSs). This time around we swapped the turbos for a Supercharger. This video shows the first time we
fired it up for the engine break-in on the Dyno. The best part was when
the blow-off valve opened and blew one of the cameras back! There's plenty
more to come, so stay tuned...
Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between
Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the
components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the
speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this

Leaf Blower Turbocharged Ford Ranger (HUGE Power)
This short clip is an out take from C3's Dyno Day back in October 2009.
There was a wager that the Ford Ranger would not make more power with the
leaf blower, we were able to prove otherwise.
Results were +15 WHP with a Stihl leaf blower jammed into the intake tube
on the Ford Ranger.

1,600 Horsepower Duramax Diesel Kit from PPE
At ARP's Open House in June of 2010, PPE brought several of their show
motors, including this Twin turbo
Duramax diesel kit that utilizes a lot of ARP hardware. It makes 1,600 horsepower and PPE
only uses ARP fasteners to hold everything together. Eric Sempson of PPE
gives Chris Raschke from ARP an overview of this powerful engine package.
