Z06 C6 Corvette Pfadt GMPP Featherlight DA vs Stock suspension Nurburgring Nordschleife test
Cars: Identical Z06 C6 Corvettes without power, weight, aero and with similar brake mods. Suspension: Car #1 - Stock Z06 2006 specs leaf springs suspension Car #2 - Pfadt Featherlight GMPP dual adjustable suspension (http://www.pfadtracing.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/28_40/products_i d/236) in Nurburgring setup with 1300 lbs (228 N) springs front and rear. According to vendor this setup was tested and proven on Nurburgring, works properly and have correct specs and valving. Suspension was then properly adjusted and settings used in video shows lowest lap time available for it. Both cars have same poly bushings and alignment kits installed. Wheel alignment was checked and matched also on both cars. Stock suspension is worn, Pfadt is new. Tires: Car #1 - Michelin Pilot Sport 2, Max Performance type, 50% wear (fastest car on video with stock suspension) Car #2 - Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, Track & Competition DOT type, 10% wear (the car with Pfadt GMPP) Both cars have same tire sizes, 295x35R18 front \ 345x30R19 rear and wheels.Tire pressures were adjusted to tire specific optimal hot temperatures. Procedure: Cars were tested by same driver with more than 1000 laps Nurburgring experience. In sequence, in one hour gap during closed session with same temp and weather. Best lap times shown.
