Pfadt Tests their Corvette Carbon Driveshaft
Designed to yield at a much higher torque value than an OEM Corvette driveshaft, the Pfadt Carbon Driveshaft proves its worth in this video. After already having done durability testing long before the product was introduced to the public, we decided to test a new carbon weave for ultimate torque holding capacity. What we found was pretty much as expected, with this shaft yielding at 4500 lb-ft of torque, at the bond between the aluminum ends and the carbon tube itself.

Note, I lied in the video. You can get an air ratchet on it, just funny angles. A universal might help.
Note, the "Randy" I'm referencing is Randy Rippie @ Doug Rippie Motorsports. He put together a great group purchase deal on custom-valved Bilstein shocks.
I didn't put much effort into the editing of this video, so it may seem choppy and unprofessional. Surprise surprise, it's youtube. ;) Just trying to motivate some people to get under their vettes and appreciate the mechanical side of these beautiful cars.
Note, this was performed on an 09 Z06. Non-Z06s and other years may have slight differences.
