Frank Spittle on The Freight Train Top Fuel Twin Engine Harley ( Part 1)
Frank Spittle, who raced drag bikes for more than 20 years, purchased the Harley-Davidson from Elmer Trett in 1983 and named it Freight Train for its locomotive-like amounts of pulling power. Spittle's best times on the Harley were 7.63 seconds in the quarter-mile at 191.27 mph and 5.19 seconds on an eighth-mile strip at 147.56 mph. In 1985, Spittle wrecked at 145 mph, retired from racing and sold Freight Train to his crew chief, Jimmy "T-Bird" Yelton, who rebuilt it in 1990 in his Gastonia, N.C., shop for Randy Milling to race.

Phil Read Elimination round 1 at Perth Motorplex, January 29th 2011. Helmet cam view of Phil's pass. $800 worth of Nitro Methane gone in 2 minutes. Supercharger blows off and yet another fireball in the second half of the pass. Car still ran 4.90, but had more speed at half track than at the finish. Next pass was more steady and much faster - 311mph (501kph) in a virtual dead heat with Phil Lamattina. 4.806 vs 4.808. Dragbike Live was on location at the Manufacturers Cup Finals held November 12-14 2010 at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Georgia when Top Fuel Nitro motorcycle legendary drag racer Larry "Spiderman" Mcbride against V-Twin Top Fuel Harley rider Tommy Grimes aboard the Ray Price Top Fuel Nitro entry met in the final round. Mcbride ran an incredible 5.830 elapsed time at 232.75 miles per hour for the win! This was a historic final round,marking the first time a V-Twin Top Fuel Nitro burner would face off against an import Top Fuel Nitro Methane injected drag bike.

The Power of Top Fuel Dragsters
I took this shoot at Tierp Arena the 11th June 2011 during a TF Dragster qualification round, this particular round is between Risto Poutianien and Anita Mäkela. First i show the dragsters on their way to stageing line then i place my Casio EX-F1 on the edge of the bench aiming on my water bottle and after the earthquake i show the scoreboard.. enjoy :)
