THIS CAR LOOKS LIKE IT JUST ROLLED OUT OF THE SHOW ROOM. MY FAIRMONT WAS RECENTLY INSPECTED BY A N.Y. STATE INSPECTION STATION & NOW HAS A FRESH N.Y. STATE INSPECTION STICKER ON THE WINDSHEILD. SINCE I ALSO OWN 2 NEWER VEHICLES THIS IS NOT MY EVERY DAY DRIVER BUT IT COULD BE. I DRIVE IT ONLY A FEW TIMES (MILES) A WEEK. WITH A PUMP OR TWO IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND DRIVES STRAIGHT AND SMOOTH. SINCE MY FAIRMONT WAS STORED INSIDE SINCE NEW IT HAS NO RUST ON THE BODY OR CHASSIS. MY FAIRMONT IS NOT A WRECK, RUST BUCKET OR LEAKER! THE BRAKES AND POWER STEARING ARE GREAT. AFTER I TOOK OWNERSHIP I PUT NEW TIRES ,BATTERY, NEW HEADLINER PROFFESSIONALLY INSTALLED, FUEL PUMP & FUEL FILTERS, RADIATOR, HEATER CORE, NEW RUBBER MATS (THE ORIGINAL MATS ARE UNDER THE NEW ONES) TUNE UP, OIL CHANGE AND SOME Exhaust WORK. AM FM STEREO-CASSETTE IS CURRENTLY IN THE VEHICLE. THE ORIGINAL RADIO IS IN A ZIP LOCK PLASTIC BAG IN THE TRUNK ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL ANTENNA. THE FULL SPARE TIRE IS LIKE BRAND NEW. THE GAS GAUGE WORKS OFF AND ON BUT THE TANK WILL BE FULL WHEN IT'S SOLD. THE INTEREOR IS PERFECT WITH NO CRACKS OR TEARS ANYWHERE EXCEPT ONE MINOR TEAR (BARELY SEEN) IN THE LOWER REAR PORTION (BACK) OF THE FRONT SEAT. SINCE THIS CAR WAS ALWAYS STORED-PARKED INSIDE THERE IS NO SUN DAMAGE IN OR OUT. THERE ARE NO AGE OR SUN CRACKS IN THE DASH OR STEERING WHEEL. THE PAINT LOOKS LIKE NEW. Didnt do to bad for 7#'s of Boost and working out a ton of bugs....Pass after this one the Truck ended up running a 12.4 @ 116 MPH......As u can see i need some ladder bar adjusment cause the trucks loading up to one side....Couldnt brake Boost, and 1-2 shift was hitting rev limiter, ill post up the 12.4 second vid and show ya what wheel hop is!!

1978 Ford Fairmont Futura Pro Street for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom
1978 Ford Fairmont Futura Pro Street for sale. Looking for some serious horsepower? Look no farther! This 78 Ford has a 420 CID V8 in it that is Dyno tested at 496 HP and 504 lb/ft of torque! All of this power is running to a C-6 automatic transmission with a transbrake, reverse, manual valve body, lower first and second gears, roller bearings, 3000 torque converter with anti balloon plates. This runs to a 9" rear end with 4.00 gears. There are tons of parts in this build, including Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam, Kook stainless steel headers, MSD ignition, 3.5" x 15" front and 14" x 15" rear Weld wheels, fiberglass hood and deck lid, Ed Quay rear wing, ladder bar rear suspension, coil over front suspension, D & D cross member, aluminum radiator with dual thermostat controlled fans, 750 Holley carburetor, electric fuel pump, and 12 gallon fuel cell. The engine was built by Panhandle Performance in Panama City, Florida, and there are tons of specs available for the build. To top it all off, this car is completely street legal in its home state. 1978 Ford Fairmont Futura BluWht
This is an interesting design from Ford. Essentially a very rectangular car, it has a sweep of color over the roof, reminiscent of the sweep of chrome over the roof of the 1956 Crown Victoria. Nice colors, nice interior!
