This original 2.7 Carrera RS is from the State of Art collection. These models are considered by many to be the greatest classic 911s of all-time. Porsche History - Car Racing Champion
In the 1960s 911 expands with more powerful engine 160 hp and new versions. At that time Porsche cars won many important races, also with private pilots. From then until today Porsche won over 23,000 titles in all car racing categories. 911 evolved from year to year adding new models as Targa, a convertible with removable roof. It was named after Targa Florio, the race won many times by Porsche cars, among others 904 GTS. Meanwhile other Porsche models were triumphing in world's most famous endurence races, such as: Carrera 6, 907, 910, 908 and 917. In 1970, Porsche won The 24 h of Le Mans. It was the first of its 16 victories in the French marathon. Porsche presented in 1973 the new 911 Carrera RS, with 6 cylinders 2700 cc of capacity and 210 hp. It was characterized by the rear spoiler, defined like a ducktail. 1,500 units of this RS model were made. Electronic injection and disc brakes were already standard in the 91 model, with the 2700 engine. In 1974, 911 turbo with 3 liters engine and 260 hp completed the range. Porsche implied the turbocharger already used in racecars. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Negli anni sessanta la gamma della 911 si allargò con motori più potenti da 160 cavalli e con nuove versioni. In quel periodo le porsche conquistarono numerose vittorie nelle corse, anche con piloti privati. Da allora fino ai giorni nostri la casa tedesca ha ottenuto oltre 23 mila successi in tutte le categorie dell'automobilismo. Il modello 911 ebbe, anno dopo anno, continue evoluzioni, con l'aggiunta anche di nuove versioni come la targa, una cabriolet con tettuccio rigido asportabile, con ampio rollbar di protezione. Il nome fu preso dalla targa florio, gara vinta più volte dalla porsche con le sue vetture da competizione, tra cui la 904 gts. Mentre la casa di Zuffenhausen continuava a mietere successi commerciali con modelli evoluzione del primo 911, sulle piste di tutto il mondo si affermarono nelle gare di durata auto come la carrera 6, la 907, la 910, la 908 e la 917. nel 1970 la porsche si aggiudicò la 24 ore di le mans. fu la prima delle 16 vittorie ottenute dalla casa tedesca nella prestigiosa e massacrante maratona francese. La porsche si presentò sul mercato nel 1973 con la 911 carrera rs, con un 6 cilindri di 2700 centimetri cubi di cilindrata da 210 cavalli. E' caratterizzata dallo spoiler posteriore, definito a coda d'anatra. di questa rs, prevista per l'omologazione sportiva in 500 esemplari, ne furono realizzate 1500. Iniezione elettronica e freni a disco autoventilanti erano ormai di serie sulle 911, tutte mosse dal motore 2700. La Porsche utilizzò così il turbo compressore, già impiegato nella auto da corsa.

Beim RGB Saisonfinale der HTGT 2012 auf dem Nürburgring war auch ein Porsche 908 zu bestaunen, der logischerweise vor dem Enke 914 - 6 GT die Ziellinie überquerte. Technische Daten Porsche 908 (lt. Wikipedia) Leergewicht 650 kg und ein V8 Motor mit mindestens 350 PS. Noch Fragen?
