Vintage Racing - 1950s Indy Cars startup and race. LOUD!!!
Chris Ashworth records a series of 1950s Indy Cars at Michigan International Speedway. This was a vintage racing event that was associated with the Concours d'elegance of America, where these cars were on display after this event.
This event was incredible! I got to wander in the pits and the garage area. You will hear these cars starting up right from the tailpipes, and you will see them driving on the track from the pits.

This was an annual event held at the place I used to work for a long time: Meadowbrook Country Club. If I remember correctly, they had around 45 Dodge Vipers there, it was an amazing sight! I got LOTS of them accelerating away. The owners and their spouses were very kind, they put on a show for me and almost all of them smiled and waved as they were driving by.

This was the car that started all of the excitement! First introduced as a '92 model, the Viper RT/10 was built as a no frills sports car in the vein of the original Shelby Cobra. It was the first use of a V-10 engine in a passenger car. It was meant to go FAST and fast it went! Both on the road and out of Dodge showrooms around the Country!
The example presented here was part of a vast collection of only the finest sports, luxury and vintage automobiles. The car has traveled only 1,975 miles since new and it shows! Its condition is outstanding from top to bottom and it comes with the side curtains, soft top and custom hard top as well as very extensive documentation including the complete owners kit!
