BMW 135i

My buddy Chuck just bought this BMW 135i and on Thanksgiving Night he allowed me to drive his car because I told him there is a lot of fun you can have with all that POWER, but also since it's his first rear wheel drive car, it would be a good idea to experience oversteer and understand how to control it. So we went out for a drive and created this short documentary of the night. Enjoy

S2000 Born to Rise
It's been about 6 months since the last time I was on this track. That last time was a moment I won't ever forget because it was the event where I had a spun bearing, the birth of a baby mice in my engine bay, and the birth of my new F22C began. Ever since then I've been working hard with my mechanic to get back here. I never made it back for the remainder of events that season, but I got my S2000 rebuilt with a F22C block over that time trying to get back for another event. It didn't happen so throughout the winter I've been trying to learn my new setup but it's hard to know without testing at a place I know and can use as a benchmark on how my car handles the corners. Things are a bit different and I've been very anxious about coming back to this track. Today was that day back finally. It started out wet in the morning, which was welcomed because I wanted to know how my new alignment fared when the car slipped. In the afternoon the track dried up and I got to test the car with more grip and try different gear choices. I'm still not sure how I want to approach my gear use yet, I cannot rev to 9,000 rpms anymore so it's a bit trickier with selecting gears. I'm still trying to figure out the optimal gear selection and shift points, as you can see I'm having to upshift into second gear mid turn since I cannot take it to 9,000 rpms anymore when ever I try using 1st gear. I'll figure it out soon ;)
