1969 Mercury Couger XR7 351 Windsor
Can't remember this fella's name...It isn't mine. Even though the owner admitted the car isn't in show stopper condition...yet, he was the ONLY Cougar on the lot at the show. And that's why I like the car. At 42 yrs old, there are some occasional electrical gremlins (not affiliated with AMC) that bedevil the owner. But, we all must persevere through the aggrevation. My Comet certainly has its issues. It's a 351 Windsor, C-6 w/9inch rear. Taken at Abingdon, MD Lowes in September 2011.

Mercury Cougar - American Muscle Car
An excellent TV show featuring the classic Mercury Cougar. They cover all the classic years, and talk about all the different engines and option packages you could get. Only a couple minor mistakes (they say the that XR-7 package included a 4-speed stick, then show an automatic shifter in one... derrr) but overall a very nice overview of these cars.

V8 Interceptor [S4 Ep. 15-3]
Today on GEARZ, Stacey brings the Rat Roaster two steps closer to completion as he installs a custom Exhaust system underneath the car to quiet it down and then lays out the 3" chopped top that is going to cover the top of the car when it's raining. If you've ever wondered how they do convertible tops, this is the show to see. After that, he rolls back the Trail Boss Jeep. Last week was about increasing off-road performance... this week is about street performance, as he continues to transform it into a rig that is Boss on the trail... and on the street! Stacey continues with the V8 Interceptor project, as he throws on wheels and tires, to give it a real mean stance! GRRRR! Stacey also introduces the gauge cluster for the '67

1968 Cougar 427 GT-E at Barrett-Jackson, Scottsdale 2011
This is the story of Brian Aust and his 1968 Mercury Cougar 427 GT-E. Over the course of about 5 years, he undertook a painstaking restoration to bring the car to the highest level he could, with a little help from his friends (and lots of advice from folks on http://www.mercurycougar.net ). On January 22, 2011, he drove it onto the auction block at Barrett-Jackson, stepped out, and watched it sell for... well, you'll just have to watch to find out! WCCC TV was there to chronicle the experience for your enjoyment, so relax and enjoy! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel to keep up to date with our latest videos. 1969 Cougar XR7 / 351W 2V
This is my 1969 Cougar, which I'm in the process of restoring. This is basically how it looked when I first got it (aside from some serious cleanup). Forgive the shoddy editing, camera work, focus etc - this is my first film making effort. I will post another video after the first round of restore is complete (body, paint, upholstery). Thanks for viewing.
