LeMans Safari Station Wagon Classic Estate Break Youngtimer Car Video Review Walk Around
Pontiac Lemans Safari Station Wagon 5.0L 305 V8 Classic Youngtimer Car Video Review Walk Around http://www.1ownercarguy.com Here is a very nice Pontiac Lemans Wagon that is like a muscle car and sports car all in one. It has the looks of a sporty car but is also a wagon that you can haul the whole family around in. As you can see the paint is a little faded but the body is straight and clean. I like the front end on these. All of the chrome is in good condition and has a nice shine to it. I really like the factory wheels that they put on these. Really gives the car a unique look. This car has the 5.0L 305 in it and is a good runner. It has been sitting awhile so does run a little rough but nothing a tune up can't fix. The interior is clean and well maintained. You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner car like this. Pontiac's engines were also downsized, with the standard engine being the Buick 3.8L 231ci V6, Pontiac 265ci V8, or optional Pontiac 4.9L 301ci V8 for 1978, (a Chevy 305ci V8 in California). 1978 also saw Pontiac's 350ci & 400ci engine production shut down after many years of service as its hallmark V8's. A limited production run of 400ci engines was made, but were only available in 1978 and 1979 Trans Ams equipped with the 4-speed manual transmission. From 1978 to 1980, Pontiac's mid-sized lineup included the base Le Mans, Grand Le Mans, and a revived Grand Am; all available as a Coupe, Sedan, or Wagon. Although the new Grand Am was better suited in size and concept than the original 1973--1975 Grand Am as a European-styled touring coupe/sedan, it was not a tremendous seller. In 1980, the Grand Am was only offered as a coupe. With lacking sales, the "Grand Am" nameplate was again discontinued until 1985, when it was reborn as Pontiac's new compact car, a form the Grand Am would take for the next two decades, until being replaced by the Pontiac G6 in 2005. 1971 PONTIAC GT - 37 -- BASICALLY A DRESSED UP PONTIAC TEMPEST
By the early seventies, insurance on muscle cars got too expensive and producing muscle cars was cost heavy also. The Pontiac T-37 was a cheaper version of a Pontiac Tempest. Then Pontiac division decided to build an upgraded version of the T-37. Named the Pontiac GT-37 this model borrowed GTO fender striping, hood-pins, and GT-37 badging making it stand out above base Tempests in appearance. The new model turned out to be a stripped-down muscle car. The fastest production car the Pontiac built in 1970 turned out to be the Tempest two-door sedan with the Ram Air III engine. The GT-37 creation was an option that could be ordered on a T-37. This year of 1971 the Tempest line was dropped by Pontiac and styling revisions to '71 LeMans included redesigned grilles. The lowest-priced Pontiac was again the T-37 coupe at $2,747. For 1971, engines available in GT-37s started with a 350-cid two-barrel V-8 that had a advertised 250 hp V-8 for $52.66 extra, a four-barrel 400-cid 300-hp V-8 for $221.17 additional, a four barrel 455-cid 335-hp V8 for $279.10 extra and the four-barrel 455 HO with 335 hp, which added $358.09 to the price of the GT-37 with a standard V-8. The 1971 GT-37s had a 5,802 unit production run, of which about 50 were 1971 ½ models with foil stripes. This was also the last year of production for the GT-37. So, what you see here is a rare low production Pontiac muscle car edition offered as another option to the muscle car crowd. Thanks very much for viewing this 1971 Pontiac GT-37.

1964 Pontiac Tempest 455 V8 High Performance Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this very clean 1964 Pontiac Tempest. This is a great example of Pontiac muscle that has been frame off restored and modified just enough to make it exciting! It's decked out in white paint with a red vinyl interior and factory steel wheels with correct hubcaps for a classic Pontiac look, but wait until you open up the hood. There you will find a completely rebuilt Pontiac 455 CID V8 complete with roller rockers, HO Exhaust manifolds, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Pontiac Torker II aluminum intake, Mallory Hy Fire electronic ignition, and a 4 core radiator. The transmission is a rebuilt turbo 350 Automatic with a 2500 stall, and all of this is run through a Ford 9" posi rear end with 3.73 gears. There's plenty of power to spare in this beast! Other options include hub caps, red line radial tires, factory style wheels, power steering, seat belts, bucket seats, and an in dash tachometer. Thanks for taking a look! Jamboolio records a fully restored 1972 Pontiac Firebird with the 350 cid 5.7L V8 engine and a stunning new paint job. The monstrous hood scoops and huge air vents added to the all black exterior makes it a very bad-ass looking muscle car beast! The Exhaust sound is pretty awesome too! Enjoy.
