Here I am driving my 2003 330 CI doing some spirited driving in first second and a little bit of third year. The car has a Dinan cold air intake and a shark injector which lets me hit 7000 RPM.

Cold Air Intake vs Short Ram Intake - Explained
What's the difference between a cold air intake and a short ram air intake? What are the benefits of one over the other? Cold air intakes attempt to relocate the engine air filter outside of the engine compartment, thus pulling in cooler air and allowing for more power. Short ram air intakes are designed to have a minimal impact on air-flow restriction, and are lighter. Which is better? I'll have to put them in my Integra to find out! I had just installed the shark injector software, and I revved the engine a little bit and did a walkaround of the engine bay. The car runs smooth, no weird noises. I got the vanos repaired at the same time as the m50 manifold swap, but it still rattles a little bit.





Should I install a Cold Air Intake? - Do Cold Air Intakes increase horsepower?
Popular question here, "Should I install a cold air intake on my car?" and "Do cold air intakes really increase horsepower?" Cold air intake, ram air intake, short ram intake, aftermarket intake, intake system, are all words that both car people and the general public use to describe the same thing; taking the stock air intake off of your vehicle, and replacing it with a "cold air intake". The idea here is that your engine is getting "colder air" which translates in the high performance world, to MORE POWER!!! Yes!.... Just kidding, these intake systems, no matter how much you pay for them are more harmful than good. In this video I'll talk about the concept of a cold air intake or "ram air intake", how they "work", how they really work, and honestly, why you shouldn't waste your money, which pretty much answers the question, "Should I install a cold air intake?" Unless you want a "deeper engine sound" or you want your turbo to sound louder on a Boosted car, which we all know that obviously the louder your turbo is, the more power it makes...? Not so much, then don't go out there expecting to gain all sorts of power or any at all (without a tune) from your $300 "cold air intake" kit from some big name performance company. Sorry about being all over the place, my ADD kicks in and I lose my train of thought pretty often. I did attend Wyotech in Blairsville, PA where I took automotive and high performance, so hopefully you'll take my word about this stuff because I know how it really works or why these things don't really work.
