Nothing is more American than the pickup truck. If the starts and stripes
thing ever gets old, it'll probably get replaced by a RAM / GM / Ford
montage. Or a Big Mac, but I digress. The other thing that's
quintessentially American is an arms race. No, I'm not talking military
hardware, I'm talking about the eternal RAM vs Chevy/GMC vs Ford battle.
Who has the best frame? Who has the best engine? Who can haul the most? Be
prepared to draw your weapons and watch along.

2013 Ram 1500 vs Ford F-150 vs Chevy Silverado 0-60 MPH Mashup Test & Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Ram 1500 Pick-up ( you may remember it
as a Dodge) is virtually all new. OK, the HEMI engine option remains but
same as the new Ram 1500 is now available with the Chrysler Pentastar V-6
engine and a HEMI V-8. But for 2013 the Ram also gets a new and class first
8 speed transmission, and optional self-leveling air suspension and
(according to Ram) best in class fuel economy. Of course we wanted to know
know just how fast the new Ram 1500 is to 60 MPH and perhaps more
importantly how it competes with the best selling vehicle in America...the
Ford F-150. We also wanted to know how it stacks up against the Chevy
Silverado. If you are curious as well, watch this exclusive TFLcar mashup
review as we test and review all three classic American pick-up trucks and
see which one is fastest to 60 MPH.

► 2011 Chevy Silverado HD Frame Strength Test
Chevrolet takes the heavy-duty pickup battle to the test track -- and the
mountain roads -- in "HD to HD," a video series that pits 2011 Silverado HD
pickups against the competition in real-world tests of capabilities that
matter to real-world truck buyers.
The tests include acceleration, passing, and braking tests, all conducted
with a loaded bed, or in some cases, a loaded trailer. Other tests measure
the effectiveness of the Exhaust
brakes on long downgrades and the stiffness of the frames during
twist-ditch simulations. Competitors were diesel-powered 2011 Ford Super
Duties, and in some tests, 2011 Dodge Ram HDs.
