Under the hood is an optional $794 1.5 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that makes 181 horsepower and 185 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 23 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway. This is a terrific little motor that gets the car moving. Most people are not going to say the car is underpowered. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic. On the inside the SE model comes with power adjustable seats and lots of modern technology. There are 2 TFT screens set in the gauge cluster. The MyFord Touch navigation and infotainment system is clean and more responsive than before. The Ford Fusion is a pretty terrific car. The hybrid model might be a better option for fuel economy, or upgrade to the large 2.0 liter EcoBoost for better performance. Still though, this SE model tested here represents a great value.
