Drag Racing MAVERICK Suspension FAIL
This racer was having a bad day when his Ford Maverick went over one time
then ass into the wall. He did a hell of a job off trying to reel it in but
it appears something may have broken in the rear suspension.

this is my second best pass of the day it was with 12 pounds of Boost , 36 degrees of timeing pulling out 1
degree per psi Boost leaving at 2700
rpm on footbrake and 2 step shifting at 5200 rpm it is on a 26x8 14 inch
wheel inch hoosier quick time pro dot slick 3.00 gear with mini spool 8
inch all stock rearend freshend up c6 transmission with all stock hard
parts 2500 stall converter ,stock block, crank, heads, valves 74 model 460
,torker 2 intake , the carb shop blow thru 900cfm jetted 75/90 , cummins
dodge Intercooler, s475 borg
warner turbo 75mm 1.1 a/r , .503 lift
276/286 duratioin adavertized, probe forged pistons, scat h beam rods , arp
head bolts, arp main studs, all stock suspension down to the factory shocks
all done on 92 octane fuel
Maverick Drag Car
Me racing my 70 Maverick at Milan Dragway. With a built 302, I run 13's but
I want to change a few small things to run faster.
Turbo Maverick Sleeper Outruns Drag Car
Josh Dillon's '73 Maverick Grabber doesn't look like it should run mid 6's
in the eighth mile, but it does! And outruns lots of full on drag cars.
Josh has driven this car on several road trips, and constantly beats on it.
The car looks rough, and even sounds sort of rough, but has a 75mm turbo that makes all the difference. On this
pass, the car made 12 pounds of Boost and runs a 6.62 at 105 miles per hour in
the eighth mile. The rough exterior and stock steel wheels make this
Maverick a killer sleeper!
The car has a 460ci big block Ford with stock block and stock crank. The
heads are stock castings that Josh ported at home. turbo is a Borg Warner S475, and Josh built every
piece of the turbo setup on a budget.
Transmission is a C6 automatic with stock hard parts and a Dacco torque
converter. Rear end is still the stock 8-inch!!!!
1973 Maverick Grabber 332 Stroker first test drive
This is the first test drive of an 8 month build. It's a very clean 1973
Maverick Grabber that has been converted to a top loader 4 speed. The
engine is a 332 Scat Stroker, with Dart Aluminum heads, roller cam, MSD,
etc. During the build we also installed an SSBC 4 wheel disc brake
conversion. My wife was trying to film the "maiden voyage" and the
camcorder batteries went dead. She was relegated to the front porch using
the AC adapter. We will get it out on the road for more footage soon....

1972 Ford Maverick idle, walk-around, and rev
This is my brother's latest project while his truck (which you can see in
my other videos) is temporarily out of commission. It's a '72 Maverick with
a recently rebuilt 351 windsor and a T5 tranny out of a fox body Mustang. It's the motor that used to
be in his truck before he put the 427 clevor in it. There's all sorts of
other little things that have been done to it too, so just ask if you want
to know anything specific.
