This is exactly the situation Honda is about to face in the 2014 Super GT series. Chassis of DTM is purely designed for FR racing cars - a chassis destined to work when an engine is mounted on the front. But Honda will put engine on the rear to make it MR, and even add a racing hybrid system to it. Why do this? Most people think that Honda just wants to race with a vehicle of features that their new NSX will have. Well, that's not everything. The extreme kind of race cars, like the ones in Super GT or DTM, are almost never built over their production model cars. An engineer of Nissan in Super GT series says that the only real common part between GT500 GT-R and the production R35 is the "door knob". All other parts of the vehicle are mere imitation of the production model just to keep the resemblance. Race cars in these categories are created with completely different materials, developed by a different team, and built in a different factory. There almost nothing in common between the two cars. With that in mind, we are close to understanding what is Honda trying to do with this NSX Concept-GT. Mount an engine on the rear of FR chassis, add a hybrid racing system of their own, and still race trying to compete with others with better condition. The race is not actually about the car itself, but it is the place where manufactures and teams show their spirit of challenge, test their own ideas and skills, to prove who is the best in creating new things. If you are complaining about NSX Concept-GT having a 2.0L engine, or becoming smaller in size compared to HSV, you are only seeing the surface of this race. I recommend that you go see a production car race. It's true that currently Honda is lacking lineup of sports cars. But it's only about the production cars, and they have never abandoned their spirit in racing. After 2009 when they stopped producing S2000, they came up with HSV that does not exist anywhere in the world except on race track. They fought equally to Toyota and Nissan and won series championship. Now with the new NSX-GT in 2014, they will start a new story of challenge. Let's not just see "what they make", but also see "how they think" to improve their unique race car and fight against other manufactures. He's won 3 championships in Super GT - 3 years in a row, in 3 different teams, driving 3 different cars (M-TEC NSX, MR-S, RE Amemiya RX-7). And not only in Super GT, he's also become 14 times champion in national autocross series driving various cars (CR-X, Civic, S2000, NSX, Lotus Exige). Currently acting as a Subaru driver, Yamano races in BRZ GT300 race car in 2012 Super GT, and also drives a BRZ in All Japan Gymkhana series. The stunning pink colored BRZ in this video is the actual car he drives in the autocross. Despite the fact it's merely the first year of competition for BRZ, it's already won some rounds. The machine doesn't have much mods though because of the regulation of the series - suspension, differentials, tires & wheels, and very few safety equipments. So basicially this BRZ is quite in stock condition - meaning that what you see there, is what the driver is doing. Applause to the amazing driver Yamano, and BRZ with great potential! 今回2010/12発売の無限グリル交換に挑戦しました。 通常はバンパーを完全分離する方法でないとグリルはは ずれませんが 時間がないため上部4個のストッパーのみはずし、隙間 ら グリル ネジ2本、エアインテーク固定ネジ2本をはずし、グリル 爪6箇所を はずして交換しています。 *エンドロールのコメント内「起用」は「器用」の間違 いでした(手先は器用ですが 思考回路が不器用でした!)

After the success of the first American Touge, we conducted an open casting call for US tuner cars to appear in the sequel AT2 - Go to http://gtchannel.com for more car videos and content - to be tested and driven to the limits touge style by Keiichi "Drift King" Tsuchiya and his sidekick Yasuyuki Kazama. 33 cars divided into 4 different classes were chosen to battle it out to challenge last year's "Touge Monster", Comptech NSX. Hotties Kazumi Kondo and Verena Mei co-host the show. ; Cars were divided into NA RWD, turbo RWD, FR and AWD classes. Promising contenders from the first American Touge such as Hasport, Top Setup, Techno Toy Tuning, Vishnu and XS Engineering were there to avenge the Touge Monster title. Cars from grade A tuners such as the Mullerized EVO and AEM Civic Si were newly chosen along with several privateers with hopes they may have some surprises.
