How to stretch a tire... and how you don't.
First time we had to use fire to make a tire stretch out. Stretching 195/45R15s on 9Jx15 BBS RMs. Didn't work at first, but we got there! (Still not as good as in other videos I have seen, but hey..whatever! It's fun!) As more and more people cry about handling and whatever when it comes to stretched tires: These wheels will be going on a stanced out 1986 Scirocco 16V weekend cruiser. It's meant to look good in the first place, handling just comes second. Stretching tires that much will make the handling in fast corners worse...normal driving you won't notice any difference though. On my MKIII GTI, I run 195/40s on 9" wide rims for daily use and meetings, while I run 215/35s on 9" wide rims for track use (see my onboard videos on the Nürbrugring). 215s will just stretch slightly on 9", stiffening the sidewall up only a little, giving you a more direct steering, while still allowing fast cornering. In combination with harder rubber bushings, more stiff suspension setup and unbiall top mounts, etc.etc. this results in an almost GoKart like, very direct handling...sure not the fastest setup, but fast and fun enough for me.

Give your Tires a Deep, Black Shine that Lasts a Year Long
Wet tires shine, With Turtle Wax Jet Black Endura-shine Tire Coat you can make your tires look wet like you just washed your car for a whole year! The coating is a black tinted acrylic that covers brown or faded tires and makes it look like you just washed it. I would recommend this product to a friend and I will personally be using this over any of the other silicone based products on the market. Here is where you can get the tire shine the cheapest: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IOBSXQ0/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789& creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00IOBSXQ0&linkCode=as2&tag=chri0e2-20&linkId= VAVW4BKQ7QTBTUS2 **If this product review was heplful, please give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. HF Tire Changer
This is longer than I wanted it to be. They say the devil's in the details, so for someone who's never used a manual tire changer, this may be helpful. My comments about not caring about the tires is because I put them on a vehicle that got driven straight to the scrapyard, not sold to another party. :) The first few seconds show quick snapshots of the process so you can see if it's has the info you're looking for. For more info on the anchors used.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0nCNAvZ5Gw For a safer way to get the bead to seal, check out joshuaburks' vid here.... http://youtu.be/3MLpKAwnRGI For dimension on the changer and the tool holder, here's another vid..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKb7_Ujua5Y Like us on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/bluehandsvideo Check out our products! http://www.bluehandsinc.com Behind-the-scenes look at what we do! http://www.bluehandsvideo.com

Mark Sheehan nitro funny car licensing explosion 12.03.2008
Mark Sheehan and his team were out trying to get the final stages of their nitro funny car licensing completed today at the Perth Motorplex. On the first pass for the day, the car smoked the tyres almost instantly, then some fine adjustments were made to try and cater for the hot conditions for the second pass. The car looked to be on a great run this time around getting to the 60' with a .972 short time, followed by a lift before the 330' in 2.59, but when Sheehan had a pedal and got back onto it, then KABOOM! The Mustang body totally blew off the chassis and into the air and lifted the back end of car at least a metre off the ground before a second bounce lifted it up and away again. Then with some great steering, Sheehan managed to tame his ride back to earth, and thankfully escaped the terrifying incident unharmed. We wish Sheehan and his team all the best for their next nitro outing.
