Woodward Dream Cruise 2012

The Woodward Avenue (M1) is home to the first mile of concrete roadway in
the country. The highway follows "Detroit's Main Street" from Detroit
northwesterly to Pontiac.

2012 Woodward Dream Cruise - The world's largest one-day automotive event.
Did you know that the Woodward Dream Cruise actually started as a small
fundraiser to raise money for a soccer field in Ferndale, Michigan?
In August 1995, Nelson House and a group of volunteers looked to relive and
recreate the nostalgic heydays of the 50s and 60s, when youth, music and
Motor City steel roamed Woodward Avenue, America's first highway. That
year, 250,000 people participated—nearly ten times the number expected.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Today, the Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day automotive
event, drawing 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year from
around the globe—from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Japan and
the former Soviet Union. North American cruisers from California, Georgia,
Canada and all points in between caravan to Metro Detroit to participate in
what has become, for many, an annual rite of summer.

Woodward Dream Cruise 2012 Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Parade
The 12th annual Woodward Dream Cruise Emergency Vehicle Lights and Sirens
Parade, in downtown Ferndale, MI. The parade represented over five dozen
police, security, ambulance, and fire vehicles (including both retired and
demonstration vehicles) from the 1930s through the present. They started
the cruise at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Nine Mile Road, and
traveled down Woodward to Eleven Mile Road and then back again. Several
vehicle makes and models were represented, including Chevrolet, Ford,
Dodge, Mack, Crown, American LaFrance, Cadillac, and Oldsmobile.

Disney Dream Cruise 2012
http://JonesFamilyTravels.comOne of the main reasons we homeschool our kids
is due to the many travel opportunities we get with our travel business.
One of those opportunities recently allowed us to go on a Disney Cruise out
of Port Canaveral. The kids were able to come along and learn about the
Bahamas, about cruise ships, the jobs people have on these ships, and many
more things. They had a fair amount of fun, too. :)
We sailed on the new Disney Dream. She's a couple years old, now, but still
one of the new-design ships in the Disney Cruise Line.
It was a 4 night cruise, so you go from Port Canaveral to Nassau, Bahamas,
then a day at sea, a day at Castaway Cay (Disney's own private island), and
finally back to the home port in Port Canaveral. A 4-night cruise is a
great length to for a cruise. Just long enough for a break and not so long
that you're tired of being on a ship.
The Disney Dream™ is the majestic third ship in the Disney Cruise Line
fleet. Boasting 14 towering decks, a ship length of 1,115 feet and a
maximum width of 125 feet, the 130,000-ton vessel includes 1,250 staterooms
and has the capacity to comfortably accommodate 4,000 passengers—along
with the over 1,458 Crew Members who tend to the needs of every cruise
Guest each and every day.
Building on the classic style of the previous 2 ships, the Disney Magic and
the Disney Wonder, the Disney Dream is a valiant vessel distinguished for
its classic early 20th-century design—which harkens back to the golden
age of cruising—and state-of-the-art technology. As can be expected from
Disney, the cruise liner was specially designed with families in mind,
combining sleek style and convenient facilities with splashes of magic and
cruise-industry firsts—like the splashtacular AquaDuck, the very first
water coaster at sea.

Woodward Dream Cruise 2012 Day 3, Muscle Car's Revving and Launch's, Flames Too!

First a quick rev off into launches between a Plymouth Barracuda, that was
so loud it made the hair on neck stand up at first, a VW Beetle with a full
tubbed suspension, wheelie bars and a supercharged engine upfront. Joining
the Beetle was also a tubbed out Impala fully blown too! Next we have a
Hotrod shooting flames for the crowd.
Sorry didn't have more but had limited time and audio issues experimenting
with my new external microphone. Let me know if it sounds better to you
than the first day in the comments.
