Volvo 940 GL Turbodiesel cold start at -17°C D6 2.4 D24TIC with vegetable oil vw lt pflanzenöl
It started at around -17°C (07:40am) Ok the six-cylinder died between,
but started (more or less) nice again. It was a mix of around 70% sunflower
oil. 20%diesel and 10% superbenzin/gas/super.
Thought it would be much more rough to get "Svensson" ...good boy ;-) turbodiesel Intercooler 90kw/122 PS/HP , 2,4l
New glow-plugs and Injectors in 2010.

Adding a sick cone filter and straight exaust tip to my volvo 940 (MAAAADDDDD!!!)
Stock volvo 940s come with an Exhaust
tip that is shaped like an s. I have no clue why volvo put this on the car
as it is more restrictive then a straight tip, uses more metal then a
straight tip(weight added and cost), it sounds gay and looks even worse. I
was left with no other choice then to remove that thang and put a straight
pipe and tip on which I got at autozone. Well I was there I bought a
specture cone filter because my stock filter was dirty and I heard a cone
filter can give you a slight power increase and the sound better.
This car currently is still slow as shit but has a bumpin sound system with
a DC audio lvl4 12" subwoofer powered by a rockford fosgate t1000-1bdcp and
rockford fosgate mids and highs all being powered by a rockford fosgate

This is a Cold start at -2°C after 12 hours standing and one "cold" night
with something around -10°C. turbodiesel Intercooler 90kw/122 PS/HP , 2,4l
Its the "foggiest" day ever with this car. ;-) Car was frozen. The start
was miserable, I reved a bit to get him some more stabile.
I´ll change the glowplugs and the injectors at the weekend of the 28.11.
When the compression is ok on all six cylinders, they will be changed. If
not I wont invest around 500-1000€.
Injectors and Glowplugs were changed. It runs much better now, even with
vegetable oil-mix and minus 17° Celsius. 5 of 6 glowplugs were worn out. 3
injectors had bad damages.
