Volvo 940 GL Turbodiesel cold start at -17°C D6 2.4 D24TIC with vegetable oil vw lt pflanzenöl
It started at around -17°C (07:40am) Ok the six-cylinder died between, but started (more or less) nice again. It was a mix of around 70% sunflower oil. 20%diesel and 10% superbenzin/gas/super. Thought it would be much more rough to get "Svensson" ...good boy ;-) turbodiesel Intercooler 90kw/122 PS/HP , 2,4l straight six. New glow-plugs and Injectors in 2010. NO, my thermometer is NOT in the fridge, its outside the kitchen window. Saturday, February 4th 2012 it was really cold here. (DE - 72108, Rottenburg) You will be able to get the temperatures if you are argueing.

Vor allem auf dem US-amerikanischen Markt fand die Limousine viele Käufer, während auf dem europäischen Kontinent vor allem der Kombi beliebt war. Die amerikanische Verkehrssicherheitsbehörde NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) wählte im Jahr 1976 den Volvo 240 als Referenzfahrzeug für die Festlegung künftiger Sicherheitnormen bei Personenwagen aus. Selbst 17 Jahre nach seiner Markteinführung wurde der Volvo 240 im Jahr 1991 vom amerikanischen Versicherungsinstitut IIHS(Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) als sicherstes Fahrzeug auf dem amerikanischen Markt bezeichnet.
