Land Rover Bowler EXR S v Caterham Seven Supersport race - autocar.co.uk
Can a 1,750kg Land Rover Bowler EXR S Dakar racer keep up with a 520kg
Caterham Seven Supersport track day toy? Steve Sutcliffe finds out.
SUBSCRIBE to Autocar:
This is a clash of the opposites. The Bowler EXR S is based on the Land
Rover Range Rover Sport, but very little of the original car remains.
Designed for Dakar-type off-road racing events, the 1,750kg Bowler has
550bhp, a sequential gearbox and trick suspension. But can it really keep
up with a car weighing 520kg on a smooth track? The Caterham Seven
Supersport has just 140bhp, but we all know it can embarrass some exotics.
How about the £155,000 Bowler?
Autocar, the world's leading motoring magazine and website, delivers
industry-leading news, the most in-depth car reviews and opinion from our
team of experts. Our presenters include some of the world's top motoring
journalists who have unrivalled access to the world's fastest, rarest, most
exotic and most exciting cars on some of the world's best roads and race
Can a supercar beat a superbike? Can a Audi A1 outrun a Nissan GT-R on a
wet circuit? Can a Porsche 911 slay a Corvette on the drag strip? Autocar
pitches the giants of the performance car world against each other to
deliver the all-important verdict.

Hennessey Venom GT: The World's Fastest Tuned Car - /TUNED
DRIVE EXCLUSIVE: With only six examples built to date, the Hennessey Venom
GT could be considered the fastest street car in the world. Built off the
Lotus Exige, this tuner car packs a 1200+ horsepower punch with a
theoretical top speed of 272mph. Host Matt Farah takes a quick ride in the
million dollar Texas built supercar for the Season 3 premiere of TUNED on
Super Sleeper 1972 Nova - /BIG MUSCLE
Wanna race? If so you may want to reconsider. You see this is Dru Diesner's
1972 Chevrolet Nova and it's anything but stock. From a looks perspective
it's nothing special, in fact most people wouldn't put up $500 for this
thing. Look a little deeper though and OH MOMMA! You see under its faded
green paint lurks a twin supercharged LS2 that makes 1,160 hp... at the
rear wheels. It epitomizes the term "sleeper", and is lethal to just about
every other road going vehicle it comes in contact with. Big Muscle
recently visited Northern Chicago to get a sample of this beast, and holy
crap was it one of the best automotive experiences we've ever had.
Group B Worship: Ford RS200 and Audi Sport Quattro - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
To enter Group B in the 1980s, car makers had to build 200 road-going
examples of the car they intended to rally. These rules created some of the
most spectacular road cars of all time. I love rallying: the chance to
drive an RS200 and a Sport Quattro nearly sent me to the nut-house. Fire up

Stalking hot girls in a Renault Twizy - Auto Express
Apologies for the re-upload - now in high def! We take the funky two-seat
Renault Twizy electric car for a test drive around the streets of London.

The Renault Twizy has split opinion with its stripped-back interior and
pod-like styling, but one thing's for sure: it's unique. So far, we've only
driven it on smooth tarmac in Ibiza, but now it's time for its real test --
on potholed city roads in the UK.
Our test car is a top-spec Technic model, which adds 'luxuries' such as
13-inch alloys and carbon-look plastic on the roof and dash. The scissor
doors are an extra £545, but are a must- have option for keeping your feet
dry. Whichever way you look at it, this is a back-to-basics machine.
