Als Technikbegeisterter habe ich die Möglichkeit genutzt, bei einem lokalen Toyota-Händler den neuen Hybrid-Prius kostenlos zu testen.
Der Wagen hat eine Systemleistung (El. und Benziner kombiniert) von 136PS, Benziner allein 99, elektro allein 82. Der Verbrauch über eine gemischte Stadt-, Land- und Autobahnstrecke lag laut Bordcomputer bei 5,0l.
Die Vergleiche, die ich manchmal anführte, beziehen sich auf einen 2001er Corolla Liftback 1,4vvt-i.

Due to bad visibility compared to the big gliders I am towing now I decided to increase the wing span from 1,50m to 2,00m. The plane's flight characteristics became a lot more gentle as well.
The whole work took approximately 8-10 weeks in my spare time next to studying.

There's still not too many hybrids on the roads, and even less still that are truly efficient. The Prius is the exception with a CO2 emissions figure that's among the lowest on the road. It all means that you don't have to pay any road tax or the London Congestion Charge and you'll find trips to the petrol station become a rare occurrence.
