Completely reengineered the PRT system allows you to have a mild Exhaust note at cruising speeds yet a forceful note on aggressive driving. 2.5" vs 3" Exhaust
The development team here at Billy Boat Performance Exhaust did extensive testing on the complete Exhaust system for the Cadillac CTS-V, looking at the both the 2.5" Exhaust and the 3" Exhaust. We found the best performance and sound to be with the 3" PRT muffler system, and then using a 2.5" front pipe and mid pipe arrangement. This allows us maintain low restriction for quick acceleration, while nearly eliminating the in cabin resonation created by the automatic transmission of the new CTS-V. The smaller front pipes allows us to gradually increasing the Exhaust velocity throughout the system with smaller diameter front pipes and larger mufflers for greater horsepower and torque. These results have been confirmed by the chassis Dyno and by our customers.

The Billy Boat Fusion is a bi-modal Exhaust system, meaning it has two passages, or
modes, that the Exhaust can travel
through the muffler. Each of the mufflers has two outlets, with one side
having a butterfly-type valve which allows the Exhaust flow to be shut off, regulating which
side of the muffler the Exhaust flows
out of. One side of the muffler is the "quiet" side, and one side is the
"loud" side. The "quiet" side is a smaller, muffled and chambered tube,

2009 CTS-V stock exhaust vs. Corsa axleback exhaust
I strongly advise using earphones for this video for best audio output.
I compare the stock mufflers with the Corsa axleback Exhaust in my 2009 CTS-V (automatic) at

Ambient noise at freeway speed
The primary changes with the Corsa are loss of drone at low rpms, and
louder, deeper Exhaust tone at WOT.
2007 Cadillac CTS 3.6L Custom Exhaust
This is a 2007 Cadillac CTS 3.6L with a custom Exhaust. From the stock cats back, 2.25" SS
pipes, Magnaflow Tru-X Pipe (part # 10790), Magnaflow dual in/out muffler
(4x9x11, part # 11378), then out to my stock "Sport Appearance Package"
tips. Also a K&N FIPK is installed.
