Test Driving 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 V8 Four-Speed
I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird. It's powered by the 400 V8 4 bbl, backed by a four-speed manual trans. It really looks slick inside and out. It's equipped with the dual hood scoops, hood mounted tach, rally wheels, and very nice blue metallic paint. The interior has been completely restored and looks nearly new. First Camaro Convertible Ever Produced! Camaro #124667N100031
Manufactured and assembled the second week of September 1966 in Norwood Ohio.
This Camaro was assembled on the first day of production and also built on the first shift, certain parts are marked "PILOT" as in pilot production, which are built before the production line is actually started and are usually used as prototypes.
This car was the first of the 25,141 convertibles built out of the total production of 220,906 Camaros to be built that first year.
The Camaros built before this one are believed to have either beem barrier crashed or torn back down for quality control inspections.
